    Dodge Dakota Quad 4X4 ALH

Do you mind measuring the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel arch? I’m getting ready to do the solid axle swap and I’m curious how much lift you are at.

Any idea on what the total lift will be with the solid front axle?

2008 Jeep JKU / TDI swap

Did you ever upgrade the turbo and tune? Was the engine you put in there stock? I'm looking at doing this with a BHW. Seems like a tune and a few minor upgrades might make it a little zippier AND bring the mileage up a bit.

04 Passat GLS TDI, geared BSM, 5spd manual swap, Bozeman MT $2500 OBO

Ah... The 6 speed Allroad TDI. What I would love to eventually turn my Passat wagon into. When you get that swap done you'll have to let me know what you think (and maybe let me come drive it :-). It would be nice to have someone nearby who has done the swap before.

How to properly warm up a TDI

I know the question makes me sound like a complete noob. Maybe I'm just stuck in an 'old school' train of thought. I always just remember hearing that you should warm it up first. Well I guess it's never too late for this old dog to learn new tricks. Thanks for the info, guys. It doesn't...

How to properly warm up a TDI

I just finished reading some information on getting better mileage and oilhammer had a post about starting his car and immediately driving it above 2500 RPMs to help it warm up faster. I have always heard that you are supposed to let an engine idle to warm up and NOT drive it until it is warm...

    WHEN to upgrade MAP

Really? It already has a 3 bar MAP sensor? How did I not know this?!

    WHEN to upgrade MAP

So according to those numbers, unless you have a turbo that's capable of putting out more boost, the stock MAP sensor should be fine. I'll make sure I pick the tuner's brain as much as possible before I give them all my hard earned money :-)

    WHEN to upgrade MAP

I have read a lot about upgrading to a 3 bar MAP sensor and I know that you don't want to do it without a tune so you don't overboost, but in the grand scheme of things, WHEN do you upgrade it? Is there a point to upgrading the MAP sensor if you are still running the stock turbo? I am looking...

04 Passat GLS TDI, geared BSM, 5spd manual swap, Bozeman MT $2500 OBO

If it was a wagon I'd come right over and pick it up! The sedan just doesn't have room for my kiddos and my dogs :-( If you do end up using the engine for something else, I might be interested in buying the rest of your car though...
