When does it eventually restart? and what's that like?

The sportwagen has the larger rotors and caliper brackets, so it will be an upgrade. It is noticeable. I do it on just about all of the sedans that live at my house and family. It is also the same setup that's on a GTI of the same generation. And the MK6 GTI brakes.

You could get PPF film in a strip and put it around the sunroof seal. Bridging the area between the paint and glass. Or just a large piece of PPF to cover it all.

Odd that the output test triggered the fans. Have you looked at the data on what the ECU sees for engine temps?

Did you check the timing via VCDS before the cam? If not, it was off before you took it apart. A new belt will require the torsion to be adjusted. Adjust it and monitor via VCDS and move on with life.

I don't think it is. You need to be using a 5w-30 oil for the Q5.
