yesterday morning, whistling sound that gets louder as rpms increase (web search points to turbo related issue)
also at the same time, front signal of speakers go weak, have to increase volume to 20 for normal listening (usually fine at 12) and had to dial up sub all the way to hear anything...
yeah we're leaving specifically for vancouver, wife's been going there since the 90s and me for more than a decade now
looking soooo forward to getting out of this ****hole of a city
https://eurospeed.co/collections/jetta/products/digital-virtual-cockpit-instrument-cluster-upgrade-for-vw-golf-passat-tiguan-jetta-lcd-speedometer?variant=49267097010463
just found this. anyone used this product before? think i'd enjoy the aesthetics of a digital instrument cluster
anyone tried one from this chinese brand?
wondering if i should check it out
anyway, how important is it to have instantaneous monitoring of boost or EGT or any other systems (water temp, voltage, etc)?
i've gone 200k miles on it and through 1 turbo without any gauges - will any of these...
i have these on mine with a vw high life stage 3 lift...there's a tiny bit of rubbing on mine (although there isn't supposed to be). i trimmed the front wheel liners to help, but there's still a little when i turn the wheel - and for some reason mainly (and possibly only) when i'm going in reverse
actually i found the solution, was trying to delete the post but couldnt' figure it out
basically just have to get an adapter. not sure why sales at crutchfield wasn't aware of this, since they're really knowledgeable. but an adapter can be found easily online.
thanks jimmy
i got mine replaced and all the side door panels re-glued - all for $550 here in houston. such a good deal
also, i got a wolfbox rear view camera so on trips, i can pack up the cargo area to the top without any worry - that would also "fix" the headliner issue
you're probably going to spend...
man i would LOVE to have this in my car, i don't care how ghetto rigged the cooling switch is. and being able to use the original heating switch is nice!
i don't think there is any value to waiting other than spending the $ either now or later. i did the delete when my kept getting CELs due to constant regens. i was still under warranty, but the dealership couldn't figure out what the issue was - all they told me was that i shouldn't be driving...
how exactly did u wire the cooling control of the seat...do u have a write up? i really need to do this, but i only know how to follow directions, not figure electrical things out on my own
i had an HPFP and turbo go out on me at the same time for about a $6k repair. not sure how those 2 were related to begin with, and unsure how in your case the engine is part of it - all at once
texas here also, and i do all my road tripping in my jetta. i rented a car one time with that option and it was one of the greatest things i had ever used in a vehicle
but just found these options this morning...maybe one day, lol
$3600 -...
anyone replace all their speakers yet?
looking at crutchfield, there's VERY few options for front door speaker replacement
anyone else having a problem finding available options for speakers?
https://www.crutchfield.com/g_400/All-Car-Speakers.html?tp=105\u0026fa=1#&avf=Y&l=5
- you will have to...
would love a true ventilated seat, but looks like these are our only options
anyone tried this yet?

I have a 2010 Jetta wagon at the dealership right now. Car died on my on the freeway. They are sending diags to VW to see why it can't start up, but they believe it's an HPFP + fuel lines issue. VW is denying warranty since it is at 130k miles. I've seen some posts here with > 120k miles that...
I also saw this xenon kit on the website - https://deautokey.com/product/volkswagen-mkv-h7rc-xenon-hid-kit
would you recommend xenon over the LED?
which one is brighter and will last longer?
I'm going to keep it as a second set, no need at all for use in Houston. plus we're thinking of driving to WA state, so I'll probably bring the tires along and change them at a discount tire when we're up north
