Where is everyone in the process? Everyone I know has turned in initial round of documents and no one has received their final offer, that gets notarized and returned in order to get a date to turn their car in. Do I have this right? Anyone further along?

Audi e-tron, BMW 328d, Volvo S60, Toyota Prius Prime, would consider a Hyundai Ioniq depending on reviews when it comes out. VWQ e-golf - if they extend the range for 2017 like they said they would...and of course, the Tesla 3 when it comes out.

Just because they declare bankruptcy, does not mean they go out of business, just that they are relieved of part of their debt and assets not essential to operating the business will be dispersed. They will no longer be obligated to compensate consumers.

What really matters is that the US, by suing VW, and some are speculating 90 BN in penalties, has paved the way and ensured that VW will declare bankrupcy and not compensate any of the consumers for the devaluing of their vehicles. Am I off target here? Am I being cynical? I don't think so.

IMHO - the US suit against VW to the tune of 90 Billion merely provides the opportunity for VW to file bankrupcy and thus not compensate any of the consumers that purchased the cars. Am I a cynic?

To be clear: You gave them a $500 card with a 1 year expiration for a $1000 voucher that limits purchases to that specific dealership? I would do it. Getting 70K service on Wednesday and activating my cards then. I wonder if it is being offered elsewhere or if it is backed by VW?

No whining! I got 48 MPG on an 1/2 hour highway cruise today and I wasn't even trying!! Still love my car and we're getting free Christmas gifts as well. Wheeee!

Tesla 3 doesn't roll out until end of 2017 at the EARLIEST and very limited until 2020. I may need to go another way.

Has no one seen this article from the LA Times? It appears that when you bring your car in to get your cards, there's a possibility that you are signing a non-arbitration agreement. I doubt it but this article discusses the possibility...

2012 Jetta TDI The towing company lost my tow hook after my car got towed. They have brought by two but they did not fit. Does anyone have the part number or know where I can pick one up that does fit? Thanks.
