I drove the SE over the weekend. Very disappointed. It feels so down market of my current 09 JSW. It is unbelievable how cheap the plastics are in the interior. There are plenty of razor sharp edges (especially the lip where the instruement cluster meets the top dashboard). Definitely overpriced...

Has any one test driven the 2012 Passat TDI yet? My local dealer only has the 2.5L boat anchor model. I did not drive the 2.5. I am considering replacing my Toyota Rav4 to add a second TDI to my garage and would like to solicit this forum's opinion.

You do not want rear-side airbags if you are going to be installing a car seat. I think that the sportwagens are popular with young families, so there may be a larger group that absolutely does not want that option.

The new Passat will be at the same price point as the MkV Jettas. From what I have read in the preliminary news releases, it has the same standard feature set and soft touch interior treatments as our MkVs.

I had this problem when I first purchased my vehicle. Two tires were constantly loosing air. Took to dealer and they indicated that the TPMS sensor on the valve stems were loose. Once they were "tightened" at the dealer, no low pressure issues.

My 2009 does the same thing occasionally. For me it is the passenger side front window. I figure I will watch it and see if it gets worse. I would really hate to take it to the dealer to have it fixed.

Are there actually separate fans for the rear vents? For me, flow to the rear vents is nothing close to what the front vents produce. If there separate fans, mine do not work either.
