    Heated Seats- is it possible.....

From the Ross-Tech site: [08] - Heating/Air Conditioning Drivers heated seat memory The Driver side heated seat level (i.e. 1, 2 or 3) should resume the previous level upon restarting the car. Found in Adaptation. From the drop down list, choose Storage of seat heater level driver. Change...

    little update pic of mine

Use fishing line instead of floss. It is stronger and thinner. Sprary a little WD-40 on and leave it sit for 10 minutes. Goo-gone is really great too, especially for removing the foam tape and residue. Use the fishing line to "saw" the letters off. I did all my badges in less than 10 minutes. I...

I can provide details on that mod too. But not until I get home tonight. Actually I will just email you a pdf file that has all of my changes detailed on it. I suspect my changes are pretty common and likely the most typical.

It should default to the Installed TAB immediately after you hit Control Module. I have only used the Beta 11.3 release so the previous versions may be different.

That is good to know. Thanks. A one page "Getting Started" sheet with the most common mods and step-by-step instructions should come with every cable from Ross-Tech. The information is out there or can be figured out with a little effort, but it would save a lot of confusion and sell more...

You are looking in the wrong place. You are looking at the Adaptation-10 options. For this mod just leave that alone. My default is Version 2 in that field. To turn the seat belt chime off do this: Activate VCDS and connect. Select "Control Module" Select "17 - Instruments" (within...

Seat belt chime should be in 17 Instruments, Byte 1, Bit 1 set to off. Should not have an error.

Definitely use the beta. The instrument sweep does not work with the 2011 Jetta. The option is in Address 17 - Instruments - Adaptation 10 - Staging from the drop down menu, but when you try to open it it says ERROR CHANNEL NOT AVAILABLE.

I have a 2011 Jetta Sportline (Canada). I would recommend going through ever tab and option to see what is available. Might takes 15 minutes to do that. Also keep a log of the changes and where you found them. What you are looking for is under the Installed tab, then hit 09-Cent. Elect...

I don't think you can really mess up too much. Just write down or copy the original codes and keep track of any changes.

I did not find much info regarding the emergency flashing options. I believe the four way flashers go off when the ABS kicks in to act as a warning to others. That is a tough one to try out. The window feature via the fob does not require Kessy. Go try your key in the exterior lock right...

Tear Drop Wiper - just adds a delay to the last wipe when you spray washing fluid. It catches the drips. Works as advertised. Needle Sweep - No channel for that means it is not an option and as such it does not work.

On my radio it just shows "Telephone" for a couple seconds and then dings a couple times when it first finds the BT phone. The voice activated voice is at a much better volume now. Before it was too loud and a little scary. If I wanted a woman to yell at me, I would talk to my wife.

Yes that option is in there too. Since I enabled the unlock all doors on key removal I never use the door button to unlock the doors, but I agree the double press for the rears is a PITA.

Here are the changes I made (all of these can easily be found by just going through all the options one by one, including "Adaptations"). These are all confirmed and work fine. One other note about the VCDS Software. I have to disable my anti-virus software for it to load. - auto unlock when...

http://www.concept1.ca/ First time I walked through the door it was obvious this is the place for VW stuff in Calgary. They had the cable in stock and ready to go. The website also does ordering too. Based on the conversations going on while I was waiting in line - they are very...

When you use the windshield washer it sprays, wipes 3 or 4 times and then it waits maybe 5 or 6 seconds to do a final wipe to catch the drips. It works well. I believe it only works when you are driving. So if you do it and try it in the garage, it will appear it did not work. If you want...

I bought a ROSS-TECH VCDS Micro-Can cable yesterday at a local VW performance store here in Calgary, Alberta. I have a 2011 Jetta. I did some searching on-line, mostly in forums, to figure out what to do prior to buying it, but I did'nt read the manual at all. Just followed the "quick start"...

    Baby got Tinted

I have it too with my 30% tint. The defroster wires are diffracting the head lights and reflecting. I have accepted it and barely notice it now but it did bother me at first.
