Jetta dies young at 126,000KM ... UPDATED PICS BIG

Well, I had no choice but to settle. The insurance company wouldn't budge from their original figure of $20,084.00. So I am still into VW for $2800.00. It just so happens that the amount I still owe VW is the amount they deducted from my settlement because the car had "high mileage". So...

Jetta dies young at 126,000KM ... UPDATED PICS BIG

Well, it doesn't look good right now. The insurance company is trying to lowball me, meaning I will still owe VW almost $3000.00 once they pay up (if I accept, which I won't). Again, I get screwed by insurance companies Their excuse is that the high KM on the vehicle is lowering the...

    Chevron Delo 400 CH-4 5w40 engine oil?

hehehe, well, MY money is prettier than yours Anyways, I change my oil every 10,000KM, so it works out to something like 6200 miles, so cost effective is good. If there is one thing I learned, in all the cars I ever owned, changing oil frequently is good. Thanks for the input, I will now...

    Chevron Delo 400 CH-4 5w40 engine oil?

Has anybody ever used it? Any opinions on it? The Husky on my way to work sells it for 25$/gal(yes that's gallon, or 3.78L). I was thinking of using it since it is reasonably priced and Delvac can be a PITA to find most times.

yeah, nothing like mommy & daddy buying a new car their kid to go and smash up and hurt somebody. I wish my parents bought me a car.... Actually, I dont. Because of them I am more carefull and respectful of other people' property, as well as my own, since I know how much it costs. I don't...

    Rust and the Northern Car

Unfortunatley I live in the north as well. But for a mere $120 per year, I have kept the rust off of every car I have owned, with the exception of my Cavalier, wich wasn't worth the rust proofing anyways. My baby goes into Krown next weeked, to get "Krowned"

    monsoon vs. CD

Just forget about the Monsoon and get a good aftermarket Blaupunkt, Clarion, or Kenwood HU... It will sound much better, you will get more options (like MP3, XM Radio), and you will pay far less.

    Stalling: Bad for the engine/tranny/clutch?

I taught my sister how to drive stick. She didn't stall the car once! I was amazed at how easily she picked it up. The reason I taught her how to drive stick? I would get home from work after her, and as such park behind her, so every morning I would have to move my car so she could get...

    fogged up windshield

A/C does not only cool the air. It also takes out the moisture (humidity), conditioning the air. A good trick when it's raining and you can't have the windows down is run the A/C. This keeps the air inside the car nice and cool and dry, keeping the windows from fogging up. A/C is great. I...
