Not necessary to remove the bumper just for fogs.

My 3 previous dubs all had fuel pumps crap out (98 Passat Wagon, 02 JSW & 05 Passat Wagon). I won't be surprised if this one fails.

It's the same reason outboard motors get slimy and dirty...air cavitates in the rear of any forward moving object. Your hatch is in a vortex when moving. They got a lot scuzzier before spoilers.

The fogs have tabs that slide right into the bumper cover; the bumper cover already has a hole for the 2 1" drywall screws that I used to mount. Here's a tip: seal up the fogs with silicone as they will get moisture inside. I'm too lazy to remove them to seal mine up. Stock up on zip ties, also.

The ONLY reason I stopped buying JSWs is becasuse they stopped making them in 2005.

I THINK the wiring came from ECS Tuning. The bulbs looks like H7, but i'm not sure.

No wires are pre-installed, however, the fogs came with the bulb and a pigtail included. I did my own wiring but bought the Euro-switch from ebay (180652431717)...I understand ECS tuning has a kit for $324.00 (my total was $122.00)

The fit was perfect, the inserts are a little bit thinner than OEM (they actually have the VW logo and part number inside). The finish is a little duller than the center grill, but i'm sure after some weathering all will match. I'm very happy with them. eBay item 180708698105 greatag (seller)
