    Tpc and Diesel Power Digi-PD

Both TDI's that I have owned ran a stock PSI of roughly 14PSI. Spikes would be up to 19PSI. I have my TPC set to 18PSI sustained, with spikes of 19-20. I noticed no significant increase in spikes with the TPC, just increased boost to what I specify. People sometimes install a boost valve to...

    straight pipe

Personal preference. Some love the sound of an open exhaust from the turbo back, some prefer only to remove the muffler. I did it step by step. Tried the muffler removal, but eventually caved in and went with an open setup and was immidiately hooked on the sound it produces! If you are looking...

    Open exhaust=horsepower?

One thing I noticed with an open exhaust setup is a drop in EGTs during/after hard acceleration.

Whats the max boost! for stock Turbo

I am comfortable running sustained 18psi but nothing more. Blew my previous turbo running a constant 22psi with over 25psi spikes.

    My New CCV System

I do an average of 2000KM per month now due to moving closer to work in October. I did note more sludge/oil collected in the winter months. Almost double that which collected during summer months.

    My New CCV System

I collect an average of 5 tablespoons of oil every 8 weeks from my ProVent. Where is your oil blowby going to go? What if that K&N filter gets blocked and no longer breathes?

EGT - will I need it?

You may not specifically need it for the most part, but it is nice to have as an informational source as to what is going on heatwise. It may just save you one day, being able to let off the pedal after a long uphill run at over 50mph.. before overheating and melting or warping things.

    Sidefire Side exhausts

If no one minds their rear tires/mag wheels and possibly the lower side of the car becoming black with soot. :)

Do I need a boost gauge?

www.newsouthperformance.com has a dual pod that mounts on top of your steering wheel. This is good for those who have airbags in the pillars.

    Buzzing coming from boost gauge

Lots of people enjoy the buzz sound, as it adds unique characteristic to the vehicle. I do recall someone mentioning using cotton somewhere on/in/around the gague to dampen the remainder of vibrations. The kit from www.newsouthperformance.com that I have came with an inline restrictor which...

165 whp on ALH with just these mods!!!

So now we go calling him an idiot and bash him and his company.. Some people disputed the results, while many were just directly bashing the company and people. What do they call that? Jumping on the bandwagon? Doesn't that seem quite a$$holish? It's funny how people hate to hear "how it is"...

PSI Powerbox or DP Digi PD?

Hello, 2DamdIntoxicating http://www.dieseltuning.com/english/03informationcenter/02dynotests/text.php Click on that link and you will see PROOF that the DieselTuning module is producing 165HP on the dyno test, contrary to the data you have found. This proves that the Dieseltuning box...

Had the TDIHeater (called frostheater now) http://www.frostheater.com/ It was awesome. I'm going to get one for my '06. Works great on those chilly mornings!

    Smog Tests and Chips/Boxes

just take the box out for the test or turn it down to the lowest setting. I know some people with a chip that just secured a small block of wood under the accelerator pedal so that when the tester people floor it for the "hill test" on the dyno, they are actually only using 60% of the available...

    New to Tdi tuning

Let me mention that the stock air filter is very good and allows high air flow. Keep it. EGT gague, tuning box or chip, mufflerectomy, CCV mod, and a nice exhaust tip to top it off. You might also eventually need the clutch upgrade, as mentioned in the previous posts. I had the 1.8T rear...

    Wireless DigiPD- your review?

Glad to hear you enjoy the box! You will notice a slight difference in smoke from the summer and winter months due to the air being more dense and cool in winter (which means less smoke). Just play around with the settings and find which one suits you best. I always ran mine on "F" except for...

    Wireless DigiPD- your review?

I had the digi pd box on my 2004 golf, and it easily kept up with an RSX type S. My 2004 got written off, due to wildlife. Now I have a 2006 golf GLS TDI and I can't wait to get the box back in it. Jose at JSP and Joe with dieseltuning have been extremely supportive on getting me set up...

    Clutch burned out?

I've seen people burn out brand new clutches in a matter of minutes. It is possible.

Really could use help from a 5spd Tranny Expert...

Most people I speak to have the same issue that you have. An extremely quick shift into 3rd results in a grind. Our stock transmissions just do not tolerate quick shifting. Your tranny will be having worse shifting issues over time if you continuously put such strain and force on the syncro...
