Ok, so the crack in my windshield was 8in long, and they can only repair up to 6in. Good news, I only have to pay $100 out of pocket. I think I am going to ask them to put a wedge plate on for the rearview mirror. That way I don't have to buy the adapter when I purchase the gentex homelink...
I have a '10 JSW, I just noticed a crack in my windshield this morning. I had a rock chip it a couple months ago, but now I have a random crack in a completely different area. I have absolutely no idea how it could have happened, and I didn't find any points of impact. I think it is still small...
I understand a lot of people disable them, but DRL has a nice green light on the dash. I really could care less either way, as I just enjoy driving my car. However, I think that the American public would be able to understand a nice green light on the dash, at least pointing them to a page in...
I have noticed this as well. Mine only seems to occur after I have driven in snowy conditions and then let the car sit. I assumed it was some residual mag-chloride (they use it instead of salt out here) as well as some dirt and grime that probably was left on the brakes. After a few firm stops...
I was under the impression that there was nothing for the headlights. I thought the CWP was heated nozzles for the windshield. Those do come in very handy.
2010 JSW TDI DSG - Zero issues with 7000+ miles.
Don't get a hybrid, boooorrringgg!! I test drove the '10 prius first, and it was a decent car. That is, until I test drove the TDI. The complainers always yell the loudest.
My car is garaged over night, but sits outside for 10hrs a day while I am at work. Most of the time I get out of work around 10p-11p, and have seen temps in the single digits this winter. I have experienced absolutely no problems with my pano. My only regret is that I have only been able to open...
For what it is worth, I love my pano roof. I have just over 4k miles on it, and have had no problems. My temp ranges have been from around 0F-70F. Knock on wood I won't see any of these problems develop. Best of luck to all of you with your problems. Hope you can get them resolved and enjoy your...
I highly recommend the Blizzak WS60's. I have been running them for 2 months now, and gone through a few snowstorms. They have been top notch in rough conditions. I have noticed some loss of stability on dry pavement, but I would say the sacrifice is well worth it.
I have a 3GS, and it works well. It will ask you if you want to go into airplane mode when you first plug it in, because it says it is not designed for use with the iPhone. Just say no, and continue on. Also, if you let your song play through and it goes to the next song, the new song title will...
Don't mean to get off topic here, but I don't really want to start a new thread. Anyway... Has anyone noticed that the standard RCD 510 fails to update the display when using the MDI Ipod connector? If I skip to another song is updates no problem, however if I just let the song play through and...
The sedan has phone book, but no streaming audio. The wagen has streaming audio, but no phone book. Personally I would rather have the ability to stream audio, as you can just use the voice control on your phone to dial out.
Could someone please help me. This popped up in place of my odometer, only when the car is in motion. When I am stopped it returns to the odometer. I could be a complete moron, but I have not found it in the manual. I assumed it was the alt speed display, but I have it turned off. Any insight...
That is great info. I actually totally forgot about voice control on my iphone. Never used it before, but just gave it a shot. It worked great and now I have all the functionality that I need. Thanks for the slap in the head. :)
For those who are convinced hybrids are the future. They better come up with some new technology.

Me personally I will just enjoy my TDI...
Give it just a beat before you ease into the gas. My understanding is that the DSG needs that beat to realize that you are now wanting to go. I agree it is a little weird, but once you get you used to it you won't even notice.
Sorry, I can't be a ton of help with these questions. This is my first set of snows, because I moved here from Florida about 1 1/2 yrs ago.
I went with Blizzak WS60's. Everyone I talked to out here raves about Blizzak, so it was an easy decision. Studded was overkill for me, although some trips...
