I just got a DMV notice about suspending my registration on the car i turned in 4 months ago. I guess VW never took care of doing the transfer and my car appears to not have been sold yet. They are suspending my registration until i can prove i have insurance. Dang I guess i should have listen...

starting the car and running it in the garage won't run the alternator as well as driving it around the block. It probably barely charged the battery as it as idling. You should have driven it around each week for about 15 minutes.

Something similar happened to me. I thought VW owed me one extra loan payment. I got a FEDEX certified letter last week which i had to sign for... and it had a check with my loan payment amount. Fast forward to yesterday, i get a letter in the regular mail with a check with the loan amount...

i never had the title to the car. i was 8 months away from paying it off. So VW will take over the title and i should be clear of any liabilities? i guess i should just fill out that CA DMV form... sigh!~

So... just to make sure.. after turning in our cars that we don't have to do anything with DMV? i asked the buy back rep and said said that VW will file on our behalf to remove the "liability" of our cars from DMV records.. Is this true? Once the car is sold back.. we are done?

Don't we own the spare tire in the car since we purchased the car? Aren't we allow to do as we wish with the spare ? I am missing my jack. Are they gonna give grief ?

They could have easily say no to the guy that turned in with spares. Seems like blatant attempt at stripping the car. Yea, i know bald tires shouldn't matter.. just making sure i don't get rejected during buy back.

so my buddy wants my tires (which are practically new). You don't see a problem with coming to the buy-back with mis-matched bald tires right?
