If you are having coolant issues related to the head gasket be aware that the head studs probably will not fix that.

ARP head studs without removing the head?

I would just do the head studs when the car is due for an oil change.

ARP head studs without removing the head?

I did the torquing in 3 steps for each stud. I removed a head bolt, installed a stud and hardware, torqued it to like 50, then 90 and finally 125. Then I would move to the next one. I am sure you could probably go straight to 125. I just do it in three as that is how I was trained.

I ordered a pair of glass lenses from him around November 2024 and ended up disputing it with my credit card to get my money back. ARP head studs without removing the head?

It has been 10 plus years but I did the torqueing just as the directions said. I did not move onto the next stud until fully torqued per the directions. I replaced the bolts in the exact order listed in the torque diagram included with the studs.

Exactly one at a time. Removed one head bolt and replaced with a stud and torqued it to spec. I followed the order sequence listed in the instructions.

I did it on a previous tdi I had. Just replaced them on at a time. I had zero problems. Put almost 100,000 miles on it before selling it.

Swapping an alh into a 03 jetta gls vr6

I recently totalled my 03 tdi and purchased a 03 jetta vr6 for super cheap to swap everything over. I will be using the tdi engine harness and cluster. Do I still need to make wiring changes in the engine/body harness interface in the rain tray? If so anybody know specifically what wires and...

    Is it over? (Differential)

I would check the axles first since the speedometer is working. The speedometer is driven off the differential so that means it is spinning.

Fragments of plastic in my sump

The valve cover has a black plastic baffle. When I purchased my car I had to rebuild the engine due to a lifter failure and the oil pan had black plastic pieces from the valve cover.
