    B4 windshield problem

So, I have a 1996 B4 Passat wagon TDI. It needs a new windshield. My windshield guy said that the original windshields are no longer available, and so my only recourse is to install a "Euro" windshield? I'm confused on what he meant, but the mirror mount is higher up on the new windshield. My...

Cylinder "Torque Difference" and "Internal Pressure Sensor" problems

Okay, so, it's been a minute. In that time, the car has undergone a delete and all of the codes have gone away except for one. I have a very consistent "Cylinder 3 Internal Pressure Sensor - Implausible Signal" code, that keeps reappearing. I have swapped the cylinder 1 and cylinder 3 glow...

    2011 Sportwagen DPF Dilemma

I don't know much about Rocketchip nowadays, but anybody knowing that name is most likely Gen X or older. They were decently big in the early 2000s.

    2011 Sportwagen DPF Dilemma

There's this fellow named xtremefunky on these forums, he's based in Germany and does really good work. I've been working with him for a stock, deleted JSW for a friend and the tune feels really nice. Good torque and zippier than the equivalent Malone tune.

    Chevron 'renewable'

Uhhh, no? That's not how any of this works. "Renewable B20" and "R99" are different liquids. It's not about the mix, "Renewable B20" has almost no relation to real R99. The refining process is different, R99 uses hydrotreating compared to conventional biodiesel. As a result, lubricity will also...

That's biodiesel, completely different stuff with a different refining process. This thread is about "R99".

    seeking "big" turbo JSW guidance

Are you running a regular S3 intercooler or the uprated Darkside S3 IC? I went to a regular S3 IC when I upgraded to a CR170 hybrid, and I'm wondering if I need to go for an even bigger intercooler for a GTE2260. I also already have a CP3, 4 bar MAP, 2200 bar fuel rail pressure sensor, and 3"...

    seeking "big" turbo JSW guidance

I have heard good things about both the GTE2260 and Xtremefunky. Seconding both of those recommendations.

    Value of my '97 sedan

How many miles does it have now? Out of curiosity. My B4 TDI wagon has 170k miles.

Cylinder "Torque Difference" and "Internal Pressure Sensor" problems

I've also heard the "torque difference" code may be caused by the injectors. Should I swap those around too?

    CP3 fuel pump upgrade thread

I don't think that list has been updated in a long time, the guy who posted it hasn't been online since 2023.

Cylinder "Torque Difference" and "Internal Pressure Sensor" problems

Hi everybody, I've got a 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI that I'm fixing up for a friend. It's been sitting for a bit, and currently has multiple NOx related codes. Planning to take care of that with a downpipe. However, there's some other codes here that are concerning me. The car has recurring...

Quick and dirty partial Climatronic retrofit for Mk6 cars

It's my understanding that our cars keep the A/C compressor running continuously, and then meter things via the blend doors. The compressor is some sort of fuel efficient variable load dealio though, so it's not really a problem.

I found mine on eBay, I'd look there.

    Chevron 'renewable'

Genuinely, I'm so glad that R99 is replacing B20 here in Southern California. All that biodiesel stuff was annoying to try to have to avoid. Now I can fuel up without worrying too much. The stations around where I am seem to advertise either R99 or straight No. 2, and both work great on all my...

    OEM ACC Retrofit

Have you encountered those checks before? Genuinely curious. I know they exist, but I drive extensively around SoCal, the Anaheim-Orange-Irvine area, and I have friends that commute to LA. I've yet to see such a roadside smog inspection or hear about it from anybody I know personally. Also...

    OEM ACC Retrofit

I feel like a converter board is easier, especially since there's a guy out there on Facebook (I think his business is called Clusters by Litke) that can swap the LEDs to red colored ones. My plan eventually is to go down that route when I get tired of my three stalk setup.

    OEM ACC Retrofit

Wait, what's wrong with using converters? I've seen videos, and know of a guy on Instagram using a Mk8 steering wheel on his PQ35 Tiguan. He uses a little converter board and it works perfectly, and he can control his ACC retrofit from the steering wheel controls. He even has functional steering...

    OEM ACC Retrofit

Without going into detail, I will say that I can't confirm anything with regards to passing emissions due to other ECU edits that were already done before I made this mod.
