I also have a 98 new beetle TDI. I've had it 1 1/2 years now and put 30,000 miles on it. I absolutely love it. I drive 500 miles per week during the school year, since I teach. It trucked through a miserable winter this last year. In the summer I am able to load it up with my windsurfing gear...
