do the plastic hard pipe when you do the thermostat: 03L121065T
i believe i've read here that there is a metal one available off a passat
the oil cooler will have to be moved out of the way
there is a dedicated section (a whole forum) for your car and engine where discussion is focused on the one-year-only 2015 TDIs. you should search for the information you seek there or start a thread there.
this thread--which is a part of a general TDI knowledge forum--is focused on the...
i have a darkside 2.5" downpipe that stops @ the (non-functional) exhaust flap and a stage 2 tune from malone (tunezilla). i also chose to delete the intake flaps at the same time but kept the high pressure EGR.
works great. no crazy exhaust smell. zero smoke or soot on the back of the car...
it doesn't cost anything if you have a genuine Ross-Tech VCDS cable and software--which costs $200.
a VW dealership is going to charge you a $150-$250 diagnostic fee to tell you that your car needs multiple thousands of dollars in repairs......

it should be able to maintain 87C or 196F and never drop below that.
if your dash gauge ever drops from halfway, your engine temp is approx 165F
i had the intake flaps removed from mine when i did the DPF extrication--used a passat intake manifold.
the B6 aluminum lower control arms and rear sway bar are cheap junkyard upgrades that make small differences
your thermostat will or already has failed and that is an expensive repair.
your...
i HAD a malone stage 2 tune and all of my emissions equipment.
i really liked the "clean diesel" aspect of all that. when my DPF went out i fought hard and did a bunch of research on what was the best way to retain some of that. in the end, i just bit the bullet and bought a darkside pipe. the...
did unplugging the EGR trigger the CEL?
it should and if not, i would suspect a tune is installed.
43ish sounds more sane to me if you don't do much city driving.
