Apparently this is a common issue, but I have somehow managed to have a different problem from most people.
Essentially the fender woofer on my 2015 jetta tdi is mounted under the rear deck lid in the trunk. People have attributed the rattle of the assembly to many things like the rear brake...
That’s great advice, and the price is surely something to consider. At $225 for springs vs $500 for a brand new setup all around it might just be worth it to spend the extra money.
However, if I can save money I would like to. Do you know if using these springs on factory struts/shocks will...
Let me preface this post with this: I have never lowered a car before.
Given that, please excuse any mistakes I may make when typing this out or any obvious oversights in the parts I've picked out to be potentially put on my car.
I want to lower my car. Not slammed, but enough to make it look a...
Also, any sensors in the exhaust I should be worrying about? I know there’s a sensor for the cat and A back pressure sensor for the DPF, are there any I should be avoiding if I were to modify the resonator-back portion of the exhaust?
Hoping to get a little more sound out of the tdi now that it has a little power behind it with a tune.
Will a muffler or resonator delete make any difference? Maybe deleting both will do the trick? As far as performance and fuel economy, I’ve read that there is nothing to gain, but I’m looking...
Just thought I’d ask since I thought I could maybe make some cool sound aside from an exhaust. Alright then that’s that.
Thanks for the diesel education!
Please forgive me as this may seem like a basic question to many on here. I’m no diesel mechanic I’m more used to customizing gas powered motors/cars.
Do turbo Diesel engines have a blowoff valve which releases boost when off the gas pedal? I know many/all gas turbo engines do and they add a...
tomo366, you are my best bet with my p3 problem, please help me out. You and I have essentially the same car and you mentioned that you have and very much like your p3.
I installed mine and it won't read boost or throttle. Does yours read these correctly? Is your car modded or tuned at all and...
I just installed my p3 multi gauge today, and it won't read boost or throttle. Boost stays solid at 0 and throttle stays at 84 (im guessing that is a percentage reading? not sure)
Either way, I installed the Kerma TDI QPRO tune, and it rips! Much more fun to drive, and you don't have to work as...
Well now I've got a lot more to consider. Didn't make my decision any easier, but the education I got in this process helps.
I Appreciate all the feedback!
Also just curious: anybody have an opinion on P3Gauges? I've read that they are the only thing on the market for a 2015 TDI that shows digital readouts of boost, intake temp, exhaust temp and other cool stuff. Maybe if the catback is useless I'll spend the leftovers getting that since KermaTDI...
Ok, so what I'm gathering from this is I have two choices
QPRO Tune and no exhaust modifications
or
Malone Stage 2 and a full exhaust replacement (deleting DPF, BlueDef, etc.)
The QPRO is only $650, and even if I did a catback it would only be $1000 with the QPRO tune
On the other hand the...
Won't change ANYTHING else? Not even a little sound difference? I could see the droning issue if I was doing a whole delete exhaust but being that it is just a catback I would think it shouldn't be too obnoxious.
Hi guys, new here on the forum. I joined to pick the brains of some pros
I’m thinking of doing some basic mods to my 2015 TDI SEL
Stage 1 tune (QPro by kermatdi)
And a catback exhaust. I went this route as I didn’t want issues deleting the adblue system, DPF, etc.
I’m solid on the tune, but...
