Are you doing all the work? Sometimes it's cheaper to swap a motor vs paying for the labor of taking one apart, doing the repairs and putting it back together.

I saw a spare ALH with trans for sale in NY that's listed on fb marketplace. idk if traveling to go get it is an option for you, but figured I'd toss that over your way as a maybe.

I'd say look for the KII-USB version then. It works with the MK4 tdi cars and a BUNCH of other VAG cars. It's definitely more affordable than pretty much all newer cables and has no VIN limits on it.

I have an older KII-USB cable, unlimited vins on that one. If you need to borrow it for like a day, we can arrange for that.

I have 2.5" piping from my airbox to my intake manifold with a FMIC in the middle of that. I did have a pancake pipe, but swapped it for a regular round pipe. IDK 100% but I feel like the pancake pipe would interfere with the better laminar flow of the round piping. I also don't have the math...

My wagon doesn't sound cool at all. I barely have any spooling noises. It's just injection pump clatter. Lots of engine work and a bigger turbo didn't help the coolness factor. I want to swap to a larger turbo, like a 2060 to get me into that sweet300-330hp range, but with something like a 9...
