I'd figure on egr soon also. With only dmf done it has plenty going soon. Value dives crazy nearing 200k so you don't want to be deep into it. 150-200k cost me thousands in vw flaws I never recouped in fuel savings. Fun car to drive though.

Dsg, HPFP, cam and battery pack cost can buy a hell of a lot of gas in a non hybrid non Tdi! I learned you drive a TDI cause you like it, NOT to save money. My father in law learned that with his hybrid Tahoe, thing turned to a lemon at 80k.

Got out of my 06 at 200k into 13 Accord sport. Again diesel being $.70 cheaper it's mileage cost are the same, but much more piece of mind. Wish I'd known to dump TDI at 150k. May I ask why replacing half axle? If its just outer cv it's super easy to do and $90. Mine took less than hour. 6 triple square bits, cv bolt, 3 lower a arm nuts and that's it.

I tore door apart and looked at wiring, all looks brand new. Did the same in trunk, also good. Pulled liner and unplugged latch. Dash light cleared and I can lock car. Come back on minute I plug back in. Anyone know how to test the latch assembly? Thanks, matt

For the first time this weekend the remote switch and door button would not open truck. Had to use key. This happened for a day, then started working again Sat. Now not working again. Did search and only found latching problems, any suggestions? Thanks Matt
