I live in Okeechobee Fl. I am near Stewart, Port St Lucie, Ft. Pierce, Vero Beach or can go west to Avon Park, Sebring area. Do you know of anyone in these areas that does 100k Service. In my town they will only use a 65 dollar kit and are arrogant I even offered extra if they would use a full...
Health reasons no wrenching. At 95k 2006 BRM. I live in Okeechobee FL. Shops arrogant, Use a 65 dollar kit and charge 325 dollars. Refuse to use a premium kit, offered to pay extra. They will not tell me what pump they will use, will not replace bolts etc. Near Port St Lucie, Vero Beach...
looking for someone interested in taking over the UOA database. Changes in my life prohibit me from being available to maintain. I can email you the spreadsheets with formulas - its not to hard to do. You can repost the top section or maybe we can get a moderator to transfer the thread to you

TomB I found both papers and yes they say as much as 50% reduction in oil life using bio fuels. One paper 2 parts is from Chevron lubrication the other is from Amsoil tech paper TSB: MO-2006-05-04. Try a search LubricantsUniversity.com if your interested.
Also Tom are u not supposed to do 5k with 100 bio. IIRC many companys will say that a 50% reduction in oil life is common with 100% bio fuel. Chevron paper, and Amsoil
I thought your 2005 2.0 lt TDI engines used a 505.00 - which would have higher levels of Zinc, Mg and calcium. Look at your manual and see if there is a API CI4+ allowed. if so, you may want to give consideration to CJ4 which covers CI4+ oil. Try to find other UOA's of the same engine code and...
QuickWrite - I do not believe you can trust this UOA - I would not be so sure that is actually SLX 5W30. It is more like a GEN I 505.01 5W40. Relax put a spec oil in and u should start to get a picture next UOA
TS - All I know is Polaris said that sintered bronze clutch plates will show high in Copper and Silicone and Al, IIRC. I understand what u said and the next test I will call them and see if they will do this. It will be a long time so hopefully someone who is closer to change will do the test u...
Thanks for your respnse TS - It seems Polaris does a different test every time i send in fluid - The VOA they did ISO Code and the second they did DRF and this last time they did a Particle Quant
The wear does seem very minimal and the clutch life should be fantastic, in my case anyway they...
It seems fine the VIS 100 C did drop from 7.5 to 6.4 -Shearing may be the major reason VW calls for changing this fluid every 40k. i was going to go 50k this run but am having second thoughts. Wear is minimal and this time the improved filter ending in C went in. DSG fluid has many task - HEAT...
Well its a shame Brain - i am sorry you had such a repair when you did follow the rules. VW should have a policy to help, however you did chip.
Question how long did the original tires last. and did you use the club breakin procedure
Brian do you have any UOA history to put this in better light
it appears to be a oil related failure - did not look at all but it seems shearing is the culprit - get to slick to look at those. heat does not seem to be a issue the oil just seems to thin.
