I guess I'll throw this here since there's no specific wheel and tire sub forum.
Yesterday I acquired 4 Miglia 1000 18" wheels with a 5x112 bolt pattern, 3 of one type and one of another. Does anyone know anything about these wheels like what they came on, if anything, and what they'd be...
Timer works great, during the colder days of winter mine will be set for 3 1/2 hours before I leave for work.
Like already said, the Frostheater is awesome. Best investment I've made for my car along side the Panzer skid plate.
Strut nut can be done with a spark plug wrench I believe, I used a cold chisel to spread the knuckle, but spring compressors are a must to remove your old springs and build the new ones. Some say you have to compress the springs in order to remove the whole unit but I didnt have to. Took me a...
Been a while since the last update. Got the suspension done and it's not bad, a little stiff though. I used Bilstein TC sports, VR6 springs with a spacer, and wagon springs.

I used a smallish flat head screwdriver and pried in between bumper cover and valance to push the tabs low enough to pop out. I swap between a stock valance for winter and a gli one for summer. No problems. X2 on the soft mallet for some persuasion to get the tabs to seat in place
I put the IDParts magnaflow on mine more so because it was annoying me. I loved the straight sound especially with the tip I had but this is nice too, and easier on the ears... Over a year and a half though with a 2.5" straight exhaust and wasn't until a few months ago I got pulled over twice...
I have Wolfsburg seats in mine, I like them better than the originals and I spend 90 miles a day in my car. Those seat covers look mighty nice though...
Had the threads strip on my LCA, and if remember right we drilled and tapped the hole for a 3/8-16" bolt. I might have the wrong size I can't remember if the original bolt was an M8 or M10. Either way that was 8 months ago and never had any issues to this day.
Guess I'll just have to order another one and hope for the best. Its not like they fail only a gee weeks later the last one was put in in December, the one before that was April or may I think.
Driver side front is gone. Again. This will be #4 going in since I bought it in Feb 2011. I don't understand what's going on here. Would worn suspension have anything to do with it? I just did a complete refresh yesterday but before that they were pretty worn. Ball joints, tie rods, LCAs...
IDParts has a stainless cat back kit and also sells downpipes and high flow cats. Fabbed up my own 2.5" with cat delete off the stock dp, and a Magnaflow is going in this weekend to keep the fuzz off my back. I have maybe $150 total invested and extra pipe laying around for a downpipe someday.
Replaced my sunroof today because a slider on my old one was broken. Feels nice to have a working sunroof after 2 years :D
Here's my question though. Is there a certain way to time the motor with the switch settings? Right now if the switch is on the rear pop up setting, its closed...
Should also add new release lever, fork and ball, and throw out bearing. It's not something I'm losing sleep over I'm just curious if its normal with a brand new clutch.
