I wouldn't be surprised if a possible loophole behind all this is to lower our mpg's so we have to use more fuel. We are not allowed to be be green- support petroleum production!!

I had the same code this week- vacuum house came loose from hose clips, rubbed a hole while against the fan motor- hose came from the intake. Repaired the hose with a barbed hose coupling for 2.50, and tapped up. Dealer wanted $55 for new hose plus diagnostic hook up charge. All cels and codes...

I have also had the IC TSB installed on my 2010 tdi sedan roughly two years ago, and not a problem since. I just turned over 100K miles and going strong :-).

last I paid for fuel was 2.39 in Ohio.

very easy to change. I just did my right indicator light, bought the original from ECS tuning for $30.

I have had the the conti eco plus tech tires for roughly 10k miles, and are very excellent in handling, snow,quiet,fuel economy- already hit 48 mpg-average low-mid 40's.

Lowest I have seen in north east ohio is 3.79

I replaced the Han cook with conti pure contact Eco plus tech and they are doing great. Good in snow, and delivering excellent mpg.

I also changed recently to the conti pure contact Eco, and so far, these tires are very quiet, do well in the snow, and most important, have an ever age of 42 mpg- hit 45 mpg at around 50deg F- can't wait to see how high with summer temps.

My 2010 with 75K started awesome at -8deg F. Had the inter cooler kit installed last winter- doing great!

Most of my miles are driven highway, some local, and I average 38-40 mpg, highest average was at 46. I will say that temps matter a whole lot, and have seen a higher average with warmer temps,verses cold. I have a 2010 Jetta S tdi, so it's heavy too.

i could not agree more with that statement. What you are paying for with a hybrid is the technology, with the interior quality lack-luster,along with the loss of power. Why sacfifice when you can have the best of both worlds with a Jetta TDI as I have.

I had the same issue last week with the extreme cold weather in my area. The Vw dealer did install the new intercooler kit under warranty, and I haven't had any other issues with loss of power like I had recently.

I have a 2010 TDI jetta S, with DSG, normally drive in 'D' range,averages 40 MPG. 11/22/12, an hour commute netted me 46 mpg according to the MFD,16" tires.

fairly new to the TDI club,and owner of a 2010 TDI Jetta S, just over a month ago. Love this car- highest mpg thus far is 46,and no problem getting high 30's to low 40's. daily. Learned something new the other evening- if you want to turn off the drl's while parked, engage the parking brake...
