If this helps. On my wife's lexus, I experienced the same thing, one of the pins has that rubber bushing. I took it off and tossed it because it did swell. I had no problem after that. For just over two years no problems, then we sold the vehicle so I don't know what happened after that.
For what it is worth. I had this in my 2009 Jetta TDi 6 speed and it originated from the gearbox. Always on a left turn, at higher speeds harder to hear but at low speeds in an intersection at a light very obvious. After hours of research I decided on the path of replacing my gearbox fluid...
On both my 2009 Jetta TDI and my current A3 TDI I put something together with copper pipe insulation, and tie-wraps. It looked ok from a distance, kinda crappy up close but I didn't care. It worked well and did the job. The foam even held up over many winters. You can google many images to...
Yes they do for phase 2b. As a suggestion, something to consider (I'll admit i didn't think of it at the time) you may also want to change out the sway bar bushings that are on that plate when it is dropped. Mine were (still are) crunching under certain conditions.
Also. In terms of...
I know I was intimidated big time by it the first time, especially coming from the MK5 jetta TDI where it was up top. Thought I would add some extra points for you based on my lessoned learned. Be careful with the bolt and bracket, I cross threaded it. It takes me some extra time every time to...
Too funny and exactly right.
When I was giving back my 2009 tdi jetta stick, I was under the gun and had to make some decisions. At the time in my area there were few and everyone else that wanted a TDI were paying top dollar for them, in some cases above MRSP. I settled for the A3 and...
i have a 2015 A3 with a block heater which I am using a lot these days, it is factory issue. Without a picture hard to confirm but it sounds right what you are saying.
Reviving old thread. I drove around for the year with this error. Today I finally decided to hook up a voltmeter. So i took the light off, put two needle into the connector and hooked up my voltmeter. BTW the connector looks fine from the outside. Went to the front and mimic start up to...
I got pentosin rad fluid at my local napa. I prefer not to buy there but I was in a bind. So maybe check locally owned napa to see if they carry. Another option is that roselandtech.ca has it also. He is not a localsmall business, but is a small business nonetheless. Up to you.
Top user fill user here. First time I was slow, and it took me like 2hrs, but I wanted to take my time. I didn't even bother with measuring temp. I measured 4.4L out and put in 4.5L and closed it up. The pour is slow. Next time I will do it in one hour.
If this helps...I have an A3 sedan and absolutely love it. I too am a sedan guy. My buyback was the 2009 jetta TDI sedan. I love the Jetta back seat and trunk space, I knew that this would be a downgrade in space when I chose the A3. A 328d was a second choice for purchase if I couldn't get...
I absolutely love my 2015. It has two car seats in the back and can still fit a stroller OR golf clubs in the trunk. I really have zero complaints. My car does not have the phase 2 fix, I continue to debate with myself about it. I am a believer in keeping it away from the dealer. I can...
