I own 1.6 CLNA 5 speed manual. For juddering issues , I am sure you are running higher gear in low rpm. Don’t trust heat shift indicator in instrument panel. In any gear (from 3 onwards) try to keep 1400 or more Rpm. Regarding glow plug light flashing, your air filter is clogged or maf is dirty...

Please try remove maf connection and check. If it running fine, rule out flywheel, alternator.

Mine done 522K kms still going with factory fitted flywheel. Running on 3rd clutch. CLNA 1.6 TDI 5 speed manual.

I don’t think flywheel fails, if we change the clutch on time.

For India, any TDI, interval is 120K kms or 6 years as per manual and service centre (Authorised) notification.

Please check injector deviation and run adaption. I faced same issue only cold start on 1.6 TDI. Finally turn to injector issue. After replacing faulty injector, everything fine.

Considering cost and work required, wise to keep continental. Here in India continental cost 300 usd including labour. For me fist set replacement happens at 4500000 kms. Now in 5200000 kms. Considering my drive pattern and maintenance, wise to stick continental. thanks.

Hi, I own 1.6 TDI with 5.19K kms. Last few days my egr command duty and egr error shows zero during uphill. Coolant temperature is 95c. During normal drive egr duty is 35 to 70%. Is it a time to change egr. Please help me. I do t want to delete. Till now no cleaning done. No error code and check...

Luckily I am in India VW service normally charging 35K INR (404 usd).

Most of VW with halogens are poor. I have 1.6 TDI (CLNA) have same issue. Tried with led and it’s worsen than halogen. Only work around is using 100/90 with relay to get power from battery. I am using oshram all season. Mine is H4.
