    2003 Jetta TDI, 5 Speed, 253,000 miles

I love technology, Google Drive claims anyone that has that link can get the photos but apparently not... PM me your personal email address and I'll try to get the pictures to you that way. $4500 is what I'd like to see with the timing belt done (parts alone are almost $500), for $4,000 I'd...

    2003 Jetta TDI, 5 Speed, 253,000 miles

I can't remember what the VIN report said for before I owned it as far as accident history, I know it does NOT have a salvage title. I did get in a car accident with it shortly after I did all the suspension work but all of the damage from that accident was covered by insurance and repair at my...

    2003 Jetta TDI, 5 Speed, 253,000 miles

Just wanting to see if there is any interest in my 2003 Jetta, GLS TDI. I just ordered the high mileage timing belt kit and plan on installing it this weekend. Also planning to do the intake clean and EGR block at the same time. Not a show car by any stretch but it has been well taken care of...

    Eletronic Trunk Release Not Working

Hi All, Have been trouble shooting a trunk release problem on my '03 Jetta. When I push the trunk button on the fob the lights blink but the lid does not open. When I pull the switch in the door panel I can hear a relay click (very quietly) but the trunk refuses to open. Using the key...

Blinker & Hazard Light Relay Issue, and 250,000 mile maintenance suggestions...

So a year and three months later I finally got around to during the turn signal stalk cleaning. It did work but it was a PITA to actually split apart the base of the stalk but it did work.

Do I need to change my injector nozzles?

If I wanted to send my injectors to get tested, what will it cost me and who in everyone's opinion does the best job? Live in MN but I can probably send them anywhere...

Blinker & Hazard Light Relay Issue, and 250,000 mile maintenance suggestions...

Guessing the injectors could be the cause of my slight (2-3mpg) economy drop off too then.

Blinker & Hazard Light Relay Issue, and 250,000 mile maintenance suggestions...

Hi All, Couple questions for those in the know... So I've spent some time searching through the forums and can't find what I am looking for (or I'm just lousy at searching). 2003 TDi Jetta with 5 speed Manual... Currently in my Jetta I have a randomly occurring "blinker sound." Now I say...

    What's your cost per mile???

On a side note this brutally cold MN winter and blended fuel is killing my fuel economy! I'm down in the 39-41 range right now! I'm easily 44-45 in the summer. I always knew winter fuel sucked, but this is ridiculous!

    What's your cost per mile???

I've always enjoyed math and the analysis it can provide... Curious what anyone else who wants to play along with comes up with... From 1/2/13 to 1/5/14 I put 24,694 miles on my TDi Jetta. Burned 551 gallons of Diesel Fuel. Averaged 44.8 MPG. If we assume an average price of $4/gallon: That's...

    Review of Oil Analysis

Thanks Bob, Prior to this I have done 10K on both, this last time was simply to see if there would be any appreciable change in testing results... Looks like I could probably get by with 5w40, however I work for an airline and when my car has to sit in the cold for 4 to 5 days at a time I...
