I often hear about HE being just the "worst" in regards to this. I always view this skeptically because everyone has a story about some town that has "the worst cops!". Pet peeve = morons going like 40 in the 55mpg barrington road stretches. They should be pulled over, and fined a large amount.

I have heard this too (from someone in law enforcement), especially on I55. I see many more troopers on 355 all the time. The new edens is nice! Too bad 294 has been under construction for a lifetime... dont see too many troopers there either. If you are nice and the officer isnt a jerk...

Perhaps you are confused? I think a stock TDI battery is 80ah, and the new beetle is 72ah. The alternator is 120amp, but I think there is a 90amp model too. (maybe in the older ones?) Dont quote me!

Now, is it necessary to unplug the GP harness in warm weather before you get it flashed? Even though the light comes on for a second, I thought the GP's werent activated over ~40 degrees? Just a thought.
