All roller heads are the same. In engines there are some minor differences like different style plugs etc. Egr stuff is different but bare engines and heads are all swapable.
BDG and BDH are basically identical engines, one is 163hp and other 180hp. They are the latest versions.
Valvetrain is way better on newer, bottom end is stronger. BAU, BDH, BDG, BCZ are all with roller valvetrain and with stronger bottom end.
They have as stock form slightly better...
AFB has different injectors than any other engine. You can use them but it always needs some extra work. some shops dont like to do custom stuff.
I run filter
Well recambo has +100% over stock nozzles. They are meant for newer type injectors like AKN. Since you have 99 car you actually might have AKN engine, they both are 110kw.
Oh sorry forgot to answer. My mate made a arduino based controller for changing original n75 to control hella servo. It worked really nice.
There is a option to use volvo(?) servo directly but it needs to be modified to the ecu.
Meanwhile I visited dyno and resulted new records:
Gtb2260vz is spooling almost idendical to the stock turbo with bigger nozzles and delivers good power on 300hp range. Actually needed to reduce spooling because dmf vibration on under 2000rpm. Its newer tech than gtb2260vk from 1gen 3.0tdi. Sure newest gtd2060vz should spool even better. You...
Well you get better spool perfromance with gtb2260vz (3.0tdi gen2) than hybrid but its limited to 300hp range anyway. Race nozzles are discontinued. Recambo has +100% nozzles available.
Yes it increases boost when you just swap 2.5bar sensor to 3bar. Most ecus allows that change, but is it wise...well in long run no. Proper tune and then there is same put 4bar sensor in on the same effort since in some tome you wanna go anyway biger power.
Engine drops right in to b5, no problem there. Ecu swap is not needed. Take the pump from the AKN and swap it.
You can use you current harness and swap out some of the connectors or take sensors from the old engine. Newer engine has some different style connectors on sensors etc.
AKN and AFB have different type of injectors, therefore different type of body and nozzle. AFB has its own type, all others are basically the same, only small variations are in opening pressures. To option would be 970nozzle since tens and tens cars are well working with those. I dont do ecu...
And what I have done since last post is that find out limits of the stock flywheel. Turned car down bit after the dyno, but later on the summer it was turned up but since we are almost 800nm range stock flywheel breaks down. First one took 13launches and second NEW luk took 10launches. :D
