    MK4 Blower motor and resistor - $60

I have a blower motor and resistor from a 2000 VW Jetta. I had to repair the HVAC blend door foam seals, and while I was in there I replaced the blower motor and resisitor. Funny, thing is, the new blower runs no better than my old one, so ended up being a waste of money for me..my loss your gain.

Thanks! I ended up ordering the Dorman fans from Advanced Auto online, per a post on the previous page. Full fan assembly (both fans, shroud and wiring) that bolted right in for $129 plus tax, and free shipping. Best deal I could find at the time. Put a new 40amp fuse in which is only...

Check your radiator/condenser fan operation NOW

I removed the fans. The large fan is toast and not repairable. The smaller of the two only worked in high and not low. I was not successful in getting it to work in low after cleaning. I ordered new fans, the dormans posted on the previous page. Thanks for that post because that is the...

Check your radiator/condenser fan operation NOW

Before I replaced the compressor, I checked the fans, I thought something was wrong but I didn't know for sure. Looking at the wiring diagram it was the S164 that was so hot. I didn't check the green fuses, but I will at lunch or when I go home.

Check your radiator/condenser fan operation NOW

My a/c wasn't working, the clutch was engaging and I didn't have pressure on the high side. I had no leaks so I have a good charge in the system. I replaced the compressor, dyrer and expansion valve. A/C now works great. But now I was driving and I smelled a burning wire smell. I pulled...

Cool. Thanks for the quick replies. I was curious if there was something more to it than just being depressed.
