My new to me 2013 tdi sportwagen has coilovers. Handles very well but it is way too stiff for these city potholes! Does anyone know the oem spring part numbers for front and rear? Also planning on using bilstein t4's for a comfortable ride.
Fcp euro is telling me:
Front spring: Meyle...
Do you think tiguan springs with koni yellow struts would give me axle issues? I do hit the accelerator pedal hard. But i prefer the feel of beefier suspension over a body lift..
Want to slightly lift my mk6 DSG sportwagen. I only want 1" of lift, to avoid messing with the axle joints (i had a ton of axle problems with my 8" lifted auto golf mk4 😬).
I know people are using koni yellow strut/shock and tiguan springs, but that seems a tad too tall for me.
I am thinking...
That all makes sense. I appreciate you spelling it out for me.
So I'm looking at mk6 golfs with DSG. does the DSG use a sturdier axle joint? Would 4 inches of lift be ok?
I have mk5 top hat, a 1.5in spacer on top of strut, and normal tiguan springs. So maybe 3-4in of lift. I really didn't think that was enough to make my nice new (expensive!) oem axles self destruct within 20k miles.....
I have a lifted golf. I have 20k on driver side new oem axle, and 1k on passenger oem axle. I really didn't think it could be the axles since they're quite new and high quality.
mk4 bew auto with 200k miles
Symptoms:
-shuddering, shaking the whole front of the car, only when accelerating. It's the worst around 25-45mph.
-the shuddering is 2 or 3 times worse when engine is warm
-shuddering stops when i let off the throttle
-there are no suspension/axle...
If you have a passenger side axle, even the old oem one laying around, i will buy it. Im in wisconsin and need an axle badly. Raxles doesn't have any for the 09a
