The mechanic at my vw dealer said it is very common for the inline heater to leak on the northern passats that come with the heater as standard equipment. They have been told to check for leaks at every service. Not sure if this could be the problem....

I believe 16's is as small as you can go......can"t even put 15's on the JSW because the front calipers are too big.

Its definitely the brand of fluid VW uses. You will find that if you use a different brand your problem will be resolved. My wife also gags from the VW stuff.

Would you make the sport shifting mod right away on a new car or wait till the car is broken in? I'm picking up a new wagon today and I do find the shifting in my wife's passat sedan quite sloppy.
