    EGR Valve Oil Leak?

That diaphragm does fail after time and should be considered a wear item. You can order a new one from IDParts, or I expect Darkside or other UK sources have them also. To minimize the oil leaking from a defective diaphragm, you can try installing a catch can that will filter out oil from the...

It's likely to get me a ticket in Colorado, plus it's money (partially burned fuel) out the tailpipe.

    Recommend Me a Turbo

Sorry for the slow reply, I have a lot going on. The main symptoms are rolling coal on hard acceleration, especially above 3000 RPM, and also when the engine isn't fully warm. Still smokes with hot engine, just not as much. Also poor fuel economy (some fuel is going out the tailpipe as...

What's your home elevation? I live at 6300' and am having trouble with the GT1856v (1st gen) producing boost fast enough. I will likely go back to a VNT-17 this summer.

Is LUK 17050 clutch release bearing "good?"

When my Luk 17-050 failed after 180K miles, it was because release finger ends snapped off until I could no longer disengage the clutch. The bearing looked pretty rough, but I think it was still working.

    Door card repair

So for the crack and fin separation shown in the last two photos, what do you think would work better - Gorilla glue or epoxy? I can see how plastic welding with staples might work for the crack, but the contours at the edge of the card where the crack starts are abrupt and irregular, so I...

    Door card repair

My right front door card broke beyond repair. I got a replacement at the junkyard, but like many door cards of our vintage, over half the fragile plastic tabs that hold the center section had broken. I've tried repairing the tabs before, and it doesn't work very well or hold up very long. I...

    Cool piston tech

If the SOA pistons work as advertised, they need to team up with diesel car and truck manufacturers and use the SOA pistons to eliminate the DPF. When manufactured in volume, surely the price per set will drop drastically.
