Haha. Well I was lucky, the dealer the used Spec was at just happened to be a VW dealer. In North Scottsdale, the ritzier part of Phoenix. That may have helped them bump up the offer. Plus they only had 2 other used CR TDI's on the lot.

I agree, but I don't see it as trading down, besides the dip in MPG, I see it as trading up, and for a better price. :)

I also cancelled the warranty on the VW, I should hopefully be getting back around $800. Its all based on mileage, I had almost 60k, so I only get 40% back. Paid $2,044 for it.

I traded in the TDI today. Got a used 2008 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Loaded with the moonroof/Rockford Fosgate sound package. And it has a limited slip diff. It had a clean carfax and only has 38k miles on it. Price was $15,300, more than 2,000 under KBB. I figured I would cash in on my equity...

I have a sandblasted windshield, with 2 big chips, and a bunch of tiny ones. I have some chips down to the primer on my A pillars and front fenders, and a few on the front of my hood. The chrome on my bumper is also sandblasted pretty good and is pitted. It is only once you get your face right...

My car runs the same during a regen, only idles around 1000. I love the way the turbo is kept spooled during one though. Extra power, she will easily spin the tires all the way through 1st during a regen...:)

I bought the VW extended warranty. The best coverage, with a 0 deductible, so I can take it to any VW dealer if it breaks... After 59,300 miles... It was a waste of 2,044$. If the HPFP issue scares you, don't buy a TDI.

It all depends on what you're looking for... Go VW for build quality, more upscale features, and the fun factor of the TDI, but it does cost more. The new Accent is a nice car, I'd buy one. Check out the Elantra too, a little bigger with a touch more power and 40 on the highway as well.

Well for 4.5L of oil, an oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, fuel filter, and a tire rotation, plus labor, less than 200$ isn't too terrible. And all the so called checks they do.

Agreed. They did away with the auto open trunks for 2011? I remember reading they were doing away with the trunk gas shocks, but the trunk too?

The 40k takes care of the air and cabin filters. :)

To the OP, call around to different dealers and see, my dealer, which handled all 4 services prior to the 50k, gave my my 50k service for free. Which was kind of them. My 40k service was only 200, and that included all the filters. I wonder how much the 60k will be, with just a...

While I do not own a JSW, If i did, I would certainly get the Pano. I'm a sucker for a moonroof, and boy what a roof it is.

Check you oil level before you leave the lot. My oil has been short the extra .3-.5L twice. They think after 4L they are done.

Meh. Homelink would be nice, seat memory is whatever. Only other person to drive my car is my dad, and he doesn't touch anything. I have limo tint on he rear windows, so a shade is useless. Lol Plus we have the touchscreen radio, with ipod and sd, a nicer steering wheel, a better gauge...

My last fill-up I was in the middle of the red, didn't bother to check the MTE, I'd assume 20, I too put in 14.1 gallons.
