I swaped out my cloth seats to leather and also got the seat warmers back in November. Great setup for the cold days! also got all console plastic etc, NICE..... if anyone wants seats under dash console parts iv got some let me know they will go CHEAP.

Its part of the whole kit I got for my ghia project, I’m just getting an average 27 mpg from my jetta and wanted to "detune" the car to see how the mpg would change.

??? Ha-ha.. Seriously...I have tried to be as conservative as possible to see if it would help... but no. Also I disconnected the MAF and the mileage seems to have gotten worse. So it’s back on again.

Thanks, but ..... I had it looked at by someone who frequents here and he said there was nothing wrong but I’m sure there is. I’m getting smoke when I drive the harder the pull the darker the smoke. Any thoughts on where I should start looking?

mid 30's?? I must have issues!! I have PP520's and RC3 and over 6 fillups am right at 27 MPG even when I drive very conservatively. Any idea what I may need to do to get better mileage? 2001 mk4 5 speed. Tdimig. :confused:

Do it! I would like to see it done, why? I believe the crv is lighter than the tiguan imagine a small SUV with 40+ mpg! If it works out I may be looking to do it too. :eek:

Most who buy an SUV don’t go off-road, why not make a lighter weight 2 WD 5 or 6 speed manual? Could be tuned to get 45-50 mpg?

I was begining to suspect it was swaped , I checked with the junkyard and its the only tdi jetta they had , so it was not swaped- they get tdi bugs but the clusters are diffrent. This brings up another question... where is the odometer reading stored? on a chip in the cluster or the ecu?
