Got a 2011 2 door Golf with 55000 miles and will be paid off in 2 months. I'm thinking of keeping it and taking the 5K. I really love the car. The EPA can go to ..... My engine is just getting broken in!

There are two indications of a regen: Fans remain on after shut down and higher idle rpms. My Golf idles at roughly 9500 rpms during regen. Maybe the engineeers figure two indications are enough. And as I have heard in regards to Japanese bells and whistles, you don't have time to look at a...
Received my gallon today! I won't need another gallon purchase for some miles now as I just cracked the seal on a gallon I ordered 3 weeks ago previously to this order. I'm going in for my 20K service this Saturday at a great dealership and I will be asking many questions......thanks to this...
Harbor Freight is the place to go for latex or nitril gloves. Diesel does't evaporate as rapidly as gasoline so you can't just air dry your hands and I travel a bit never knowing where I will be filing up. I keep a supply in a baggie in the trunk. They are very useful in my opinion.
Totally agree. The hatch back and wagen models create a higher level of low pressure in the rear. As air passes over and around the vehicle, this low pressure area allows particulates to drop from the airstream.
Ordered! Thanks to whomever made this possible. Just cracked the seal on my second gallon for which I paid the shipping. Been using XPD since about 4K miles.
I love mine, too. I have had the TDI since December 2011, 10 months, and am approaching 18,000 miles. The car is a joy to drive and very comfortable on the 500 mile round trips I make each month. No problems.
"The daytime running light was first mandated, and safety benefits first perceived, in Scandinavian countries where it is frequently and persistently dark during daytime hours in winter time. As ambient light levels increase, the potential safety benefit decreases while the DRL intensity...
With all the ethereal opinions on this thread, maybe someone could enlighten me on a question that has long been on my mind.........Did Eve (Adam and Eve) have a navel?
And...why is thread still alive?
And Jarhead, thanks you Devil Dog! SF
I hope I will be able to make it. My business life is not my own...clients, (thank GOD for them!). This would be my second GTG and I so enjoyed the first at Dan's.
16.5K and no problems.
I would surmise that an engine torque damper would greatly reduce the front-to-back movement of the CR. If you think the CR moves too much, you should have seen my 2006 Civic Si 2.0 liter. Engalls manufacturers such a device but not for the TDI. Have a...
Yes, you are right bhtooefr. There must have been an early problem with understanding States Rights versus Federal and we were given the 10th Amendment to clarify the staus of the states.
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states...
According to Article 1, Section 8.3 of the Constitution of the United States, Congress shall have power....."To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes:". Emissions laws are not commerce. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.:)
I don't believe the REI bottles are fluorinated. This process adds long life and a better barrier than just plain Nalgene...and of course at a higher cost. These bottles are designed for some of the harshest chemicals out there and they are guaranteed leak-proof. These are serious.
To each...
Nalgene® Fluorinated Bottles
These are a bit expensive, but they do not leak and will not deteriate any time soon. Good luck. (I use the 4 0z. bottles for my XPD.)
