    Car not registered, options?

From the vwcourtsettlement.com FAQ's: Your vehicle does not need to be currently registered to be eligible. In order for the vehicle to be eligible, it must have been registered in the U.S. at some point between September 18, 2015 and June 28, 2016, but the registration need not have been in...

    BioDiesel in Boston

I know they used to have 2 pumps, one with B20 and the other with B5, but the last time I was there those sticker were gone. I think they only carry B5 now, but I could be wrong. The bio is usally 2-3 cents cheaper than the reg. diesel. They have re-paved the main road that takes you past the...

    Price opinion

Sound like a good deal. There is another thread on the next page titled 2009 TDI Owners - Please Report Your Experiences Here Its at 18 pages long but you can see what other people are paying for their car. I paid just over $21k (DSG-sunroof-mats-no Nav.)

    Boston area auto body

I have a few areas on my roof and hood where the clear coat is flaking off. This just began at the end of this past spring, the paint look fine-no rust. Can anybody recomend a good shop to get this fixed? Anyone else have this problem? Live in Quincy. 2000 Jetta Indgo blue with sun roof.

Can I Chip and upgrade nozzles?

Skill. If you want to go cheap, I am sure you could find some manual nozzles for almost free and then just chip it. You might want to research servising the trans, by someone knowledgeable with these car of course. The KERMA mod is something to read up on as there are differing sides to this...

    IPT Valve Body Installed!

Blake, What symptoms did your OM1 have? why did you go with just the VB. I also have the OM1 and am wondering about your thought process, as I will surely will be going down that same path sooner or later. I don't think there are very many of the IPT products out there and it would be nice to...

    Automatic feedback

Mr.Chill did the cars 1st trans service (@120k miles) and turned the line adjustment about 2/3 of max. So far I like it. The slop between P and R and R to D is greatly reduced. The gears hold better, esp while in 3rd, the trans will grab and lock, no more of the swimming around and then...

    Stk 5 Speed Nozzles??

I did the same nozzle swap and I did notice a small bump in power but nothing dramatic. The engine does run smoother and starts on the first or second crank. Save that money for a tune.

    nozzle swap?

Rob, Your money would be better spent on getting the car chipped. With your location being on the left-coast I would suggest the Q-loader from Kerma as they can also reprogram the shift points and other configurations of the auto-trans. As far as nozzels, you might find someone who has the...

    Poor fuel economy

I have the same set up as you. 2000 jetta auto with 130,000 miles on it. I live in Boston and drive into work everyday, lots of stop-n-go and under 30mph speeds, and I am getting between 30-33 mpg or 400-430 miles per tank. Not sure this helps but your numbers do seem low for highway driving.

    actual size of the pp357`s

I also have a 2000 jetta auto-116k. In May I had my turbo replaced and while it was at the shop Chris had a bunch of the stnd. manual nozzels just lying around so being the nice guy he is he threw them in my ride. There is a small bump in power, so I would say get the 375's.

Suggestions for NE Dyno Day VI??

I'll be willing to go, Oct 20th works for me. My only question is can they dyno an automatic?? I hear someone is contacting RC about coming. I wonder if he will just be fine tuning peoples rides or adding a fresh one to a stock car? It sure would make a good before and after compairson, with...

metal/aluminum skid plate to replace plastic belly pan

not sure if you have an automatic or manual, but I think the plastic "skid plate" for the auto is around $280 so it would be reasonable to just get the aluminuim plate if you need it, and have the automatic

    clunky sounds with suspension

Sway bar bushings. I had a clunk and a squeeking sound when the suspension would flex. Had the sway-bushings replaced and both sounds are gone, well I still have a clunk every once and a while but not nearly as much as before. Sway bar bushings are also pretty cheap to do, I had mine done at...

stock auto nozzle size, upgrade to??

From talking with Chris I gathered that because of the 11mm pump in the autos if you added for example the PP357 that would be like adding the PP520's in a manual trans car. The larger pump helps to bump up the power, so you can have one step behind what the manual cars are adding, in terms of...

stock auto nozzle size, upgrade to??

I'm not sure what the auto came with stock, but the manual nozzels are .184's. When my turbo was replaced, Mr.Chill hooked me up with some manuals that he had floating around. There is a slight bump in power, nothing big, a touch more smoke. I would make a guess that some one with a manual...
