    Electrical Pin Removal Tool

Doesn't mean anything. I still poke my head in here from time to time, and saw this ancient thread. I didn't even remember writing half that stuff, but it was fun to re-read it. That was a loooooong time ago; I don't live in PA now, and this is the second dealer I've worked for since I left...

Boy, I used to be a charming sumbitch, eh?

    Buggered threads in head: Suggestions?

It's moderately hilarious that you ruined the threads considering how much time you spend lambasting VW dealer technicians.

    That's it.

That\'s it. You guys have fun with your little cars. I'm done with you people.

    Supply of window parts???

Yep, there should be plenty to go around by now.

    Repeated MAF failures

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Maybe. I get a little tired of the attitude where people try to blame the owner OR the dealer for a problem that obviously has nothing to do with either.

    Repeated MAF failures

I think Pete is a VW android. Can't fire on his own maker or something.... (The above comment is made in the best of spirits and is NOT an actual flame.)

    Repeated MAF failures

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ummmm..... Volkswagen, Danix. Danix, Volkswagen. I guess you two haven't met. Bosch isn't going to do diddly without VW telling them to. VW is still buying the junk parts as if there were no A5. And Pete, for the 800th time, the MAFs...

HELP! golf front emblem can't detach

Re: HELP! golf front emblem can\'t detach The grille on the 2002 I looked at this morning has the regular old 3 locking tabs holding the emblem in.

JSG - what did they do?

Maybe if we called it a rev-limiter test he'd understand...

HELP! golf front emblem can't detach

Re: HELP! golf front emblem can\'t detach Take the grille off and then try it. There is a locking tab right in the middle with a square access hole to get at it, and then you pop both upper outside corners out, and lift it out. You have to detach the hood outside hood release mechanism, too...

If these cars are crap, why do we still have them?

I'll buy a VW when they decide to start building cars that don't have the little issues you guys like to ignore.

    Repeated MAF failures

It is a grounding issue supposedly, but I can't get them to tell me just what they really mean. Someday, somehow, maybe VW will see fit to solve the problem.

Why can't I get the right parts???

Re: Why can\'t I get the right parts??? Your expectations are 95% reasonable. The coolant temp sensor is one of the few things that you just have to see the color on the car, regardless of the VIN. Mirror switches are another.

HELP! golf front emblem can't detach

Re: HELP! golf front emblem can\'t detach Weird. I'll look at the one I've got sitting in my stall right now. I would have earlier today but completely forgot. It is a 2002, if it matters.

    Repeated MAF failures

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Boy, you're seeing the really bad ones then. MANY of my customers are driving on 1/2 or 3/4 of a good MAF, good enough that it doesn't throw a CEL. They don't usually complain unless the power gets REALLY bad or the CEL comes up. The...
