    I also have a gen 1, and I agree, there might not be a fix, too costly for VW. So as I now understand,if I keep the car and want the fix, the 5K is only if they even come out with one. Kinda playing chicken game :(

    Thanks for your reply. It's kinda hard to see if this does anything as my issue is that I only have heat on "full hot"; because the sensor thinks the car interior is above 25C.

    Kinda hard to verify it, it's buried in the faceplate (as far as I know).
