TCM replacement successfull I just wanted to close the loop on this. After my mechanic told me it couldn't be done, I went ahead and swapped the module myself and then cleared all codes. I shifted a little strangely at first, but after several hundred miles around town, it is shifting well...

Poe, We bought our Durango for the almost the same reason - we've got 4 kids. There aren't too many cars out there that will haul 6. Plus, most of the camping in AZ is remote and really requires the 4WD. My commute to work is about 90 miles a day. I was filling up the D about twice a week...

I got the same "four month" story from my dealer in Tucson, and if I didn't work here in Mexico, I too would have felt that it was pure BS. (BTW - they had 30+ NBs on the lot and only one of them was a TDI - It's now mine ;-) Since I DO work in Mexico, I understand a little bit how it works...
