the charging system doesn’t work until the car is running. Battery light will be on in any car while cranking as it’s using a heavy load to power the starter

im not 100% sure, i have a video of me running it at operating temp, shutting it down and instantly trying to start it back up. I could crank it for like 15-20 seconds and it’ll fire but that itself confuses me. I have heat, compression and fuel. What more do I need or better yet what do I not have?
