Need local guru information
It has been awhile since I have posted but am in need of a guru to help with seal replacement for injector pump on my 2001 Jetta TDI. It could also be the pump itself. Any help is appreciated.
I have bought my 2001 new and it has 275k and am actually contemplating buying a 2013 or 2014 Passat SE to replace it due to the great value right now. The prices around here at various dealerships are 16-18k depending on the options. When the fix comes out I can then decide what is best for...
I bought this car new and am looking to sell. I have all service records and my car has been looked at by a local guru. The timing belt has been changed twice and the intake recently cleaned as well as a new MAF. It needs front brakes and bearings and has minor surface rust on both front...
The dreaded airbag light has been an issue with a few of my TDI's including the 2006 Golf I just bought. I have no warranty so I am hoping it will be an easy fix.
Timing belt
I just bought a 2006 Golf that has 64k miles. The vehicle was undriven for the most part of the past 2 years. I changed all the fluids as well as the filters but was wondering if I should change the timing belt before 80k miles. Thoughts?
I recently purchased a 2006 Golf GLS, 5 speed, 64k miles to replace my 2001 Jetta GLS, 5 speeed with 180k miles. I am now having second thoughts and am thinking maybe I should keep the 2001. The 2001 has a little rust in the front wheel wells and could be fixed for $800 otherwise it is in good...
I had a quick question and it may be ignorant but here it goes. I am looking to purchase a 2006 Golf TDI and was wondering if all TDI's in this year had the TDI emblem in the back? I am looking to buy a used one and it does not have the emblem so I want to make sure there was no body damage and...
Timing belt was done 2x already and I would have all service records. What would I be looking at for a cam replacement on average with labor if I used a guru in my area?
Thank you for the advice. I am going to have the 5spd checked for the cam first and then make a decision. If it checks out I am thinking it is almost 1/2 the price after the tb I may go with the 5 speed.
I have a chance to buy a tdi from my wifes company and was wondering which would be a better deal. 06 Jetta dsg 85k miles needs timing belt done for 11k or 2006 Jetta 5spd 190k miles with tb done as well as flywheel done for $6750. Thoughts? The reason I as is I have always owned 5 speeds only...
I know the flashing glow plug light issue has been beaten to death but I have a question. My replaced the switch and my brake lights and cruise do not work. Does this mean the issue could still be any of the issues listed above? I do not have a Vag Com to pull the code right now. One more thing...

Code P0101
Steve I also have a 2000 Golf and am having the same issues. I do not have a Vagcom but I went to Autozone and used their OBD and the code was P0101. My issue starts right after starting the car as I try to accelerate it seems to bog down before finally picking up some speed. It runs...
linkage
I just replaced the linkage today on my 2000 Golf. I bought a new linkage from tdiparts.com and when doing the repair I found out I needed to take the motor off the linkage and I also needed to use a few parts from the old linkage. It wasn't too difficult but I wish the part included...
