So best thing to do is just use the elt tcm and put it all in to my car. Will the elt with elt tcm get along with my cars computer?

I actually found that chart and someone said its not legit... So would it be best to install it with the ELT tcm and not swap out mine into the elt??? And if i would keep the elt tcm and just install the whole elt tranny as it is, would i need to reprogram something? Would the elt tcm work with...

my Bentley manual doesn't say tighten 44lbs This is what is says stage 1- 30lbs stage 2- 1/4 turn stage 3- 1/4 turn

Ok so if i rebuild my auto tranny it will be cheaper but not as reliable as a 5spd, like jettawreck said an auto is a fail waiting to happen. Also why are the gasser gear ratios different from tdi if all the charts say they are the same??? Where can i find a legit chart?

i think 3500 is kinda high for a diesel, cuz my cluster reads only 5k rpm.

haa, ok well what if I do decide to go with the 5 speed swap, will i have to buy a tdi tranny or will a gasser tranny work and will i have a problem with the ecu going from auto to manual.

I really appreciate all the reply's and i would definitely do a 5sp swap if i were the only one driving it, but its kinda a family car... So i think ill still stick with the auto.
