Turned in my 2011 Golf this afternoon, cheque in hand. Off to the bank and to wash my hands of this finally. Sad to see the girl go, but.. Jeep Grande Cherokee with Mercedes diesel incoming. I'll get over it quickly.
Walked into my branch this afternoon and confirmed it will be held for 5-7 business days.
Guaranteed I won't be buying another VW anytime soon for sure.
Yeah, I just got off the phone with my VW dealership, and he said pretty much the same thing. I'm going to be pretty upset if I'm without a vehicle for 3-7 business days after turn in. I guess the next step is to call my bank.
Quick question, who's the issuer of the cheque?
I have a deposit down on another vehicle which I plan to pickup the day of my turn in, private deal. I wanted to know if it's a VW cheque, or a Ricepoint cheque. The last thing I want is the bank deciding they want to put a hold on the cheque...
Ugh, I was looking for my original bill of sale yesterday, looked high and low and couldn't find it. I wonder if I can get a copy from the dealership. Still paying on the original VW loan.
If no gen 1 fix, still get restitution?
So a co-worker has a 2014 Jetta, and we were talking about buyback verses fix. It's hard to tell from the details presented thus far, but he asked if he has to wait to get the restitution amount right away.. or as I read it, only after a fix has been...
Still shows as offline on the main page here.
Interestingly the direct link works though..
Shows mine as 18,528 (plus 5100), which is pretty much what I calculated as well.
Correct. I added the $600 for NAV as the CBB says to add it.

Whoops.. math is hard.. lol.. $25,141
What do you mean by he 'got' 20625. Do you mean he estimated it?
I'm not even sure how people are doing their calculations. The wholesale value (with nav) goes from $14925 - $16225, with penalty brings the range to $20,025 - $21,325.. yet table 2 says the top end is $23,626.
Does anyone know what factors would affect the HIGH wholesale value other than milage?
My 2011 Golf TDI 5DR Highline has 50000k on it. I would assume I should be pretty darn close to the high value.
My crystal ball says that VW will be instructed to pay each owner $5k for depreciation, no fix forthcoming for older models that require more than a firmware update or already have urea. No buybacks.
But I never believe this damn ball.
