    buy NOS 2016 Q5 TDI or new 2018 Q5 2.0t

After test driving the 2018 2.0T we decided to get it over the TDI, as much as I loved the diesel engine, the newer tech won out.

    buy NOS 2016 Q5 TDI or new 2018 Q5 2.0t

Hi folks, Veteran TDI owner here, I had a 2002 Golf TDI which I drove to 200k+ miles and absolutely loved it. I haven't looked at diesels for awhile since dieselgate but I was at Las Vegas Audi yesterday shopping for a new 2018 Q5 2.0T and the sales guy mentioned that the TDIs have been...

    Two kayaks on A4 Jetta?

I have the Thule system with Hull-a-port (J style) and Glide&Set kayak mounts for my Golf. Two kayaks can fit on it without any overhang, I prefer the J style because it's easier to lift the kayak from the side rather than slide from the back and accidently scratching the hatch. That might not...

    PP502 nozzle failure

Amazingly the car still ran with the exhaust and intake valves jammed for 5-10 minutes, to get off the freeway. And the engine was restarted a couple times, not a single scratch on any of the other cylinders, pistons, or valves. Marcell said the tranmission notch didn't quite line up with TDC...

    PP502 nozzle failure

Yeah, I think it's pretty much ruled out that the nozzles were not the cause of the problem

    PP502 nozzle failure

I've made it back to Vegas with my Golf, it's running great. Here's the old engine Is it normal for the cam slot to have this imprint? Marcell and I think that the vacuum pump was installed incorrectly. Only the valves in cylinder 4 were fubar'd, the pistons in the other cylinders are...

Best options for a Golf bike carrier

I have the Thule roof system with Sidearm mount. I prefer it over the hitch mount because the rear of my Golf always gets sooty, I don't want the bike covered in it too.

    PP502 nozzle failure

Well I finally made it back home to Vegas, minus the tdi. I want to thank everyone that has offered their advice and expertise. Especially oldpoopie, Marcell at Fix-um Haus, flytdiguy, Ed, and gern for going out of their way to help get my Golf back on the road. Alvin

    PP502 nozzle failure

Update: New complete motor has been found. I talked to the original shop, they won't do anything until they see the broken engine. So after my Golf is up and running again, I'll take the engine down to them for inspection.

    PP502 nozzle failure

Update: Car has been towed to Fix-um Haus in Portland, Marcel pulled the valve cover and the lifter in cyl4 siezed. Like you guys said, the valve probably bounced around and took out the injector. Head will be pulled tomorrow and I'll post an update. The TB and lifters were replaced a month...
