we have and do use the SPEC clutch and flywheels (smf)in our race applications and love them... we have not had an issue with them at all ..5 or 6 speed applications.
and have not had any failures.. Last years race set up with a single turbo saw considerably more HP than 180 and this years...
Thank you jetta girl(Sarah)
What you are doing is very impressive. Keep it up.
NHRA is certainly a professional series.
IMHO: You race what they sell..they sell what you race.
No disrespect to allard, Kerma, Wegner or anyone else... we certainly have needed and GOTTEN help in one way or...
how about i weigh in on this...
1. allard, kerma, TDI Racing...do not race in a professional race series...lloyd does race and he has done well in the cup series in UK.... partial miss quote.
2. CPR has an in-house tuner....part of our marriage with european tdi race teams...
3. the WCTC...
We were a "no Show" sorry.
We sent our injectors out for cleaning and blue printing...my mistake.
They came back late...6 weeks late... We spent 2 days on the dyno looking at why we were not making power..scowered every system for leaks/damage.. finally pulled the injectors from my stock...
Uhh, that is a different "set" of twins! Mechanical things are always easier to control.
Miller is out for us.... we are focusing on the double header at Lime Rock just 5days after the Miller race in UTAH.
BTW: Street versions are currenlty avail but they are NOT cheap..each application is...
yes...they can be
FYI: the race versions are water and oil cooled......our single turbo system last year was squeezed pretty hard but generated a very nice power band and was very reliable under race conditions... it just could not reach the target RPM/HP for world challenge competition..
World Challenge Touring Car VTS uprated Jetta TDI to CRP/Garrett designed Compound Turbo system with interstage intercooling. Included air-to-air and air-to-water intercoolers with remote radiators/cooling fans.

guess you guys know the Vnt 17 garrett is selling here in the USA now is a turbo that was a stock Ibiza turbo ..OEM in europe, and has been around for quite some time...nice , easly , and durable.
It is very inexpensive and readily available from ANY garrett dealer.
The Audi owners manual note the fuel is made primarily from Rapeseed oil. Audi AG and VAG tell us that "it is the source of the fuel..the rapeseed avail in europe" that makes the difference... WE commonly use the soy based bio-fuels in our tractor. ... and i do not know the difference.
VAG...
the BIO Diesel product is very hard on the injectors and fuel pumps..It is hard for VAG to warranttee their products if you use the bio fuels. Not to say it can't be done but there is so much variation in what bio diesel is and the product quality...we have seen a reduction on power using bio...
would be nice if VW dealers in the USA were allowed to sell the parts VW makes for the TDI's world wide....even BMW had a motorsports division you could order parts from the world wide distribution..
thanks for the offer...
