Dropped the car off last week, got the transfer in my bank at the right time.
My Passat had the CEL on too (adblue heater), but they didn't care.
Overall I'm very happy with the buyback process and compensation. Too bad VW screwed it up so badly, I really liked the car and mileage.
I will stay...
Sorry I had to remove the files after receiving a warning for copyright infringement.
I don't have those files anymore, try asking some of the guys who replied to the thread last week, they should have downloaded the files when available.
Hi everybody,
VW will will buy back my Passat next month and I won't need the service manuals anymore (PDF format).
If the forum is interested and if it is legal, I can upload them on a shared folder. Let me know!
I came across couple of good offers for last gen audi 3.0 tdi and I was wondering whether to buy one of those before the court update on Nov. 3rd or not.
Will I be eligible for a buyback in case everything goes south?
Will the trade in value of the car be affected a lot in the future since...
I've been driving with the CEL on for months already (same code), and I won't fix anything. Just check for error codes every couple of weeks, in case there's something new you are not aware of.
Will I be able to get VW to buyback my car with the CEL light on?
I don't want to waste time and money fixing the heater problem, considering also VW will most likely have to replace the whole DEF system anyway, if they want to resell the car.
As soon as I deposit the check from VW, I'll be looking for a pre owned, low mileage 2013-2015 A7 TDI Prestige, hoping the 3.0 fix will be approved by then.
If prices for will fall low enough I might consider getting a my 2016.
I finally did it. The trick is rotating the lock assembly 180 degrees on the vertical axle before trying to go pass the window bar.
So here's the list of things to do:
- Remove door panel
- Remove lock cylinder (very important)
- Remove the plastic cover on the assembly, or you won't be able...
I will try again as soon as I have some time. I spent 30 minutes on it then I had to go to back to work.
Let me ask you first if you had the plastic cover on the faulty actuator already.
If so, did you have to remove it before trying to get the lock assembly out?
