Sticky Tires + Handling + Good Driving = Carnage? (Help!)

Seems like the heat treatment industry is busy. still looking around. Looks like the same thing happened to the Cybertruck. https://autos.yahoo.com/tesla-cybertrucks-off-road-adventure-153000527.html

Sticky Tires + Handling + Good Driving = Carnage? (Help!)

Got it, I guess that could be an option. I did some more research and it seems like cryo treatment could still be an option. That would be simplest. Will call around soon.

Sticky Tires + Handling + Good Driving = Carnage? (Help!)

Just reiterating that after suffering failure 1 and 2, i got the entire TT knuckle, axle nut, outer CV. Believed to be original. I talked to Raxles today. learned a lot but the bottom line is that the splines and threads are the same size and material, so no benefit to me. He wouldn't comment...

Sticky Tires + Handling + Good Driving = Carnage? (Help!)

If I recall, Raxles do not require the complicated "torque, loosen x degrees, torque, then tighten y angle." Could using a lock nut and not torquing say the extra 60 degrees be a solution?

Sticky Tires + Handling + Good Driving = Carnage? (Help!)

Speaking of heat cycles, even the wheels get too hot to touch after a 20 min session. Do that 4 times a day, 4 days a year pulling 1.1+g (guessing) regularly throughout the session... Edit: My point is that the threads and TT spindle are probably ok for factory level cornering, not a car with...

    B4 Passat TDI

B4V means TDI wagon only? The <1000 figure was for TDI wagon only and that is what I saw! Wonder if Canada got Syncro B4 MT or even 4mo B5 MT?

Single Turbo option for 400hp 1.9 PD

OP already said $2k is out of the budget unfortunately, hence Holset (which are great turbos). From Borg-Warner looks like the S251 with .48 a/r would be an option, $850. Personally, I would go genuine new or used Holset and save the quid. Nice thing about a non-hybrid WG turbo is it is hard to...

Your tuner should be able to limit the torque to make a stock clutch last if needed.

    Improving Pump Voltage Maps, Shudder

Good luck with that. So considering the AXG timing map, I do not understand (besides emissions reduction) how no additional advance is needed from idle to 2250 rpm (excluding the cold start area) for a given mg/st. Then there is a ton even at no load at 4000 rpm. Even in the WOT column, 2000...

    Improving Pump Voltage Maps, Shudder

OK now that I have some time, here are the logs. Ambient is 39F. As mentioned, no boost or accurate MAP so not much to see in block 11. Pretend it is SDI for now:confused:. I have been reducing SOI and am flashing a new tune right now. Seems to be helping, thanks! Logs Sounds like a ton of...

    MK4 1.9TDI PD100

Stock turbos are about as good as you could want for spool. The bottom end is the limit at <2500rpm anyways. Some newer turbos make more power with the same spool but that is about it. I agree, sounds like a tune could meet your goals.

It is alive again, will get the logs soon.

Have the ECU out. Will try boot mode when the kids go to bed. I still want to know what you are comparing me to when you say I have too much timing.

VAGEDCSuite automatically corrects checksum. It froze up before the step where you switch the key off and wait 5 s. I deleted immo last time I was in there, can I do boot mode without pulling it and shorting pin 24 to ground w/ 5k resistor? Pulling the ECU does not sound fun right now but oh well.

Luckily I have that before (same exact scenario) and have the bench harness. I thought if you just keep trying it will eventually work?

I pulled 11 and 15, will try pulling just 15. No, won't start no glow plug light. You can make suggestions and I can choose to follow, right?

    Improving Pump Voltage Maps, Shudder

I want you to tell me what to do :) will get the logs tomorrow if I can get the ECU to take a tune (Computer went to sleep as I let it sit too long, won'r wake - mpps V18). I know these maps are written for emissions and noise at part load so that is how I justified the increase. I don't see...

Yes the pro tune had a stock map for an EGR deleted car so surely some advance is needed for peak efficiency right? When you say crazy amount of advance, what are you comparing it to?
