Can't find out anything on the web and most of the Bosch phone numbers no longer work.
We sold our 2009 Jette TDI back to Vw in November 2016. Sometime later, (March 9, 2017) we were notified about the Bosch settlement and haven't heard a word since. I saw one thread where some people got their...
I turned my Jetta in to VW in November. Got the email today.
I would ask stupid questions about the email (that actually answers those same questions) but that's just me being pissy
It looks like those who have already turned the car in only get $175.
An Eligible Owner of an Eligible Vehicle...
To the Admin of the TDIClub forum. I learned a great deal here over the past seven years and most especially since the scandal broke. The TDIClub forum has been professionally run and administered and I am very thankful that I found it "way back when".
My Jetta is gone, I've been paid so there...
You know what?
I just thought I would pass on something I heard as many others have.
And like many others, I have learned that the TDI forum has become an attack board. I can remember when people used to help each other here. That seems to be a thing in the past.
BTW, I said the HARDWARE and...
Turned my 2009 Jetta in today. The rep handling the buyback was actually a VWGoA corporate employee, not a contractor. The process went smoothly but something interesting was said by the Rep, "They are having trouble with a fix for the 2009s because the new hardware and def tank for the fix they...
The reminder is supposed to go out two business days prior, this was received five business days prior.
I requested EFT and they confirmed that but then almost exactly 12 hours later, they said I was getting a check.
So, is my appointment really two business days from now when I will get a...
I have my buyback scheduled for the 19th, Monday of next week.
VWGoA sent me an email yesterday morning to remind me of the appointment, a list of what I need to bring and how the electronic fund transfer, that I had requested, would work.
That was at 9:41 AM.
Then, at 8:36 PM, they sent me...
I contacted Cameron Saunders by phone and had to leave a message. BUT she called me back within fifteen minutes, listened to my description of the problem with my offer (it had one wrong name on the address line of the offer letter). She encouraged me to send the offer back with my own cover...
Submitted the Formal Settlement documents on November 16 and received acceptance today and picked a turn in date of December 19.
Finally getting to the end
I bought my first VW forty-six years ago so yes, at one point, I was thinking of getting another VW. But then, I started looking at what this is costing VW and then reading about their internal financial problems. Mainly with attaining new operating financing leading up to a 30,000 employee...
setting aside, of course, the fact that VW already willfully defrauded all of their customers and this whole situation was caused by that willful act.
Who would believe that VW would try something like that? Again?
To late for us. My wife bought a Subaru Crosstrek to replace her Jetta. That ends a 48 year relationship with VW and our family or at least it will end when they finally give us a turn in date. The way things are going we may stretch our 48 year relationship into a fifty year relationship before...
My documents were accepted on November 16 and still have heard nothing. I keep talking to Class Counsel and they can't get VW Counsel to respond concerning my unique problem, i.e. they put the wrong second name as the addressee in the formal settlement offer.
I well and truly now hate VW
any chance you two could just walk away from it or maybe take your conversation via PMs or even offline?
I keep coming here to try and learn stuff and all I can read is you thumping your chests and getting out yard rulers to measure each other.
I just called and did get through to VW claims. I returned my signed/notarized documents on November 16 and asked "Courtney" what the status was. She said the time frame for scheduling the actual buyback after return of the signed formal settlement offer is now 20 business days or four weeks...
I uploaded mine on the 16th and have heard noithing since other than the email "we have received them".
But, I have a particular problem in that the offer letter was addressed to me and my son, not my wife who is the second owner. My son was listed on the clear titles as "TOD" or transfer on...
I am into the 7th business day of their "someone will call you back within three business days" response.
Just one more reason to walk away from VW forever
