    I've converted BHW harness to B7s before but to be honest if you can get your hands on a left hand drive BPW harness it's well worth it and they are relatively cheap. As for the ECU I can convert your BHW one to work in B7s (manual) or you can get a BPW one but then needs custom tuning for a BHW...

    3pin should be PWM. Power, Ground, and PWM signal. Some use 4 wires where the 4th is status feedback to ECU. CAN would be 4 wire. Power, Ground, CAN High, and CAN Low. VW/Audi (no electronics) style uses 5pin. Motor +, Motor -, Position Sensor Power, Position Sensor Ground, and Pisition...

    If you use the PWM version of electric actuator then all you need is a proper tune to match the PWM frequency and PWM range. I don't think the device in your link will work.

    1.6L TDI Tiguan???

    Could totally be loosing it here but I swear I saw a 1.6L TDI small SUV in Toronto Ontario two days ago. Pretty sure it was a newer Tiguan. Never heard of a 1.6TDI in North America so I'm assuming it was either imported or just rebadged. Anyone else see such a thing in North America?

    I think if we could have slowed down the dyno pulls we would have seen better response for the turbo. These pulls were quite fast. Somehow the slower pulls were causing oscillations in the dyno. I may be missing something but I'm not sure why above 3600RPM we held boost and power dropped...

    PD Injector Differences

    That's interesting. Over here all our PDs have lift pumps. Mind you we only have BEW PD100, BRM PD100, BHW PD136, and the V10 TDI PD.

    Have you tried running the lift pump. Not sure if your software will allow you to do it with VCDS. If not I've jumped the relay or just powered it directly. Usually 30-60s is enough.

    Mine runs real nice but it's not an auto. Coding wasn't bad at all and no lights or faults in the car. Take a look at my conversion tread or pm me with any questions as it's been a while since my last update.

    Is Torsion Value a set value or does it flucuate thru the RPM range?

    Has anyone ever had this number jump at high rpm and WOT? Mine is typically at -0.3 and usually stays within the range of 0.0 to -0.8 except for above 3700rpm and WOT where it goes to -3.3. Belt kits was installed last year and I checked the tensioner mark and it's within the slot.

    I've seen quite a few PDs running high cruising boost even on stock tunes. The high boost does kill fuel mileage. I've played with mine quite a bit and by dropping it right down during cruise I could drop my fuel consumption by almost 1L/100Kms. Only down side I saw was slightly slower boost...

    Hmm. interesting. If I'm not mistaken you are using a BHW sensor, BPW harness and BEW ecu? This would likely mean there is either a hardware difference between BEW and BHW ecus or this is something set in software. I'v repurposed BEW ecus before and I don't recall this issue so iI'm thinking...

    Sorry for getting back to you so late. BPW Hall Sender Pin 1 Red/White to ECU T60/27 Pin 2 Purple/Blue to ECU T60/28 Pin 3 Red/Purple to ECU T60/12 BHW is the same. Not sure about BEW but I would imagine it would be the same too. Maybe something else is going on with the camshaft...

    Keep in mind many of the alh had the glow plugs wired in the reverse order. I think some new and bhw had the same issue. I don't trust voltage measurements with a multimeter for this. I would start with vcds ecu part number verified with the checksum to make sure it's an original.

    The PWM version I have is definately frequency sensitive. I verified this with a function generator. Likewise it has a max and min duty cycle. If you are outside of the specifications it will just default the home position. I think I read a Hella document somewhere that specified a the frequency...
