That's sort of what I chalked it up to. I'd love to know what would happen if I took then up on it. I can't stand that particular dealer so I never answered the phone when they called.
I keep getting a voicemail from a local VW dealer saying they see my lease is almost up and they'd like to buy me out of my lease with no early termination fee and get me into a new VW. I'd love to know what they plan on doing with my 14 Jetta TDi.
I was originally told by my dealer that we wouldn't be knocked for over mileage. Then later talking to the portal people they said we'd be billed for any damage or over mileage.
Did they tell you it was due to multiple claims? I had two claims created and got an offer on my first claim. I think the portal people will tell you anything to take the blame off them.
I struggled to hold myself back from buying a new Jetta SE in December. Initially we thought our buyback would be done in early January going by the original VW timeline. I figured I'd carry a second payment for a month or so. Something was telling me that wasn't such a great idea so I held...
I think the OP is saying that Chevy may have turned in VW for potential emissions issues seeing they couldn't get their Cruze to come anywhere near the performance and mpg the VW was getting.
And he just happened to land here to tell us about his fiasco? I think not. You can easily browse without being active. And go back and read post 3 in this thread, he clearly states he's been watching this site.
Either way, live and learn hopefully.
Ahh, in this case, yes it is fair. I checked his post count prior to posting my comment and saw it wasn't his first post so he's been here before and most likely following these threads.
And his reasoning has zero traction, if he ever pays with a check he's at risk, if he ever pays with a...
You really needed to follow this forum a little closer, its been known for months now that the EFT option is the best. Lots of people have had to reschedule for that exact reason.
And I totally agree about losing customers through this fiasco. We had full intentions to buy another VW once we...
The problem is, everyone with a banged up junker in my eyes, is going to think it's pristine and will want top dollar for it then pitch a fit when the appraiser says it's in rough condition.
I had two claims going as well. The first claim we finally received our offer letter last week and we've got our buyback date already selected. I did contact the portal today via their chat and cancelled the second claim we opened at the beginning of this year. I was just trying to be proactive...
Huh, the info I got when leasing the car was it needed an inspection with SGS a week or two prior to turn in. I called SGS and asked about it and they said an appointment was already set for 3 days after my early turn in date.
You guys/gals that have successfully done an early lease termination, have you had to schedule the inspection like would be done for the standard lease turn in? I heard others say that they weren't accepting appointments for the TDI termination cars.
The part that bothers me is that they haven't left any openings available for the people turning in a lease. Those with a lease are supposed to have a turn in date within 45 days. The earliest date available for us was beyond the 45 days.
