No political statements outside of the off topic section, please.
Nobody in here (TDI power enhancements) cares, and it doesn’t bring the topic forward...
I know it’s hard to follow rules and read them, but ... come on.
You will need a different turbo.
GT1749V is enough and pretty cheap, different injectors aren’t needed for 130hp.
Look into the 1.4TDI tuning thread, everything is written down there.
No just take the whole file from ATL, put your injector map in there and tune from there on. Then flash the ATL file to your ecu ^^
With PD1.3 injectors you will need to change BIP maps
Hi!
It seems like the balance shaft is one of the main weak points with the 1.4 TDI.
Since I've fitted the GT1749VB and the Firad 50+ Nozzles, this is now the second time my balance shaft broke in half.
The car has run on 2 Bar boost and 75mg until 4200 RPM and made around 170-175hp.
The max...
Ok, I'm going through hell with my "1.4" TDI.
In short - I have fitted:
Complete engine rebuild
ARL overbore pistons (81,5mm)
H-Style Conrods with ARP Bolts
ARP Head Bolts
Sachs Performance Clutch + Pressure Plate
Firad +50 Nozzles in PD1.1 BA Bodies
GT1749VB with extended tip compressor...
Good evening,
I planed to fit BHW pistons in a 1.4 TDI. However, I totally forgot the bore of the headgasket. (which is max 80,7mm)
It seems like it isn't possbile to use the 2.0 TDI head gasket as there would be a problem with the oil supply. (thanks to Rub87!)
Does anybody know if there is an...
Maybe this is interesting for some of you.
At the end of the month my 1.4 TDI is finally ready to get into my car again.
It has been bored to 81mm, got BHW pistons and H-style conrods.
I have chosen a GTC1549VZ, as I got a new one for just 180€. :)
The limiting factor will definitely be the...
For newcomers who want to upgrade to a VNT turbo.
I think it would be perfectly possible to bolt a VNT17 on the 1.2 TDI manifold, which should fit the 1.4 tdi cylinder head.
Maybe the GTC1549VZ fits the AMF manifold, did someone check?
I'm still searching for a solution too.
Running a GT1749V since June 2016, but just 1mg more injection in low rpms already result in heavy clutch slipping.
Exhaust Gas Temperature.
I would expect that if you max out your injectors and go with 46+ degrees injection, that they would be extremly high.
But one never knows. :)
I have never thought about this, the GRJ (of 90hp a2) does also have bigger spline compared to EWQ?
So it's seems that the Sachs perf. clutch is the maximum that one can get for the non ecomotive 1.4 tdi gearbox, right?
Thanks again!
