So it still isn't clear in my mind. Do you think the OP should schedule the latest possible date, now and then move the appt later? Or can he just not do anything for x months, then log back on to the portal at a later date, and schedule his turn in appt???
Not sure about the order either. Registered a long time ago, uploaded docs about 10 days ago. Got this email this morning.

Agreed. My current plan is to go to about 120k on my 2010 JSW, and then sell back. At that point I need a timing belt and run out of HPFP warranty, and I'm somewhere near the 2 year limit.
Up to that point, I have a car that doesn't depreciate.
I am perfectly satisfied with the proposed buyback. Have a 2010 JSW that I bought used. If all goes as planned, I drive the car for roughly 60k miles (60k to 120k) over about 4.5 years, do some routine maintenance, and they pay me about $100 more than I paid for the car.
Seems pretty reasonable.
I'll keep an eye on this thread. I had a similar experience with my 2010 JSW with about 90k miles.

Weird, seems like the thread went off track a bit... That seems odd on any thread related to Dieselgate.
I think I would probably use the dealer $500 toward my second DSG service which will probably be due in the next 12 months.
Quote from a USA Today article... Take it for what it is worth.

I have 4 oil filters for 1996/1997 B4 Passat TDI. 3 are Mann and 1 is from the dealer.
My Passat got totaled a year ago and was going through stuff in my garage and realized I still had some oil filters.
$5 / each + whatever it cost to ship them to you
Wow, that car was filthy...
I am glad he found somebody interested in this car.
I drove it the day he got it in. It was filthy.
Cluster was messed up, fuel gauge was not working, tach was way off and I think the speedo was significantly off. All that plus the CarFax made me very suspicious...
All,

My final fault code. Car is a 1998 NB, 5-speed. Airbag light has been of for many months. I have cleared the code and it always comes back. I doubt that I am going to tackle whatever this is, but I would like to know as much as possible if I am going to pay someone else to try and fix it...
